Lagta hai ATAG and MWF have fought back and punishing current chiefs.

This decision also implies that there is not problem with Babu, MOD or PSUs. The problem is Armed forces attitude.

Can't appoint a CDS because government feels current chiefs will not follow Atmanirbhar policy.

Kamov226 and T14(called as FICV in Indian languages) will be halaaled most likely. Sprut light tanks too on the anvil and the govt might go ahead with LnT option.
Just hope that they don't get fooled by some stupid expensive offer of Make in India with ToT because that's what babus want to pass off as "indigenous", and feel absolved of their duties

Make in India with TOT is not going anywhere anytime soon. Hopefully tanks artillery atgms etc are halaled.

Then they should atleast take conscious decision about it. It makes stuff expensive and even compromises with quality and delivery schedule- it's better to buy them off the shelf if qty isn't that great or technology isn't that great to absorb.

I think they are ding it now, IG there was disscussion about building our light tank by using NGMBT cassis and using imported 105mm light gun, as it was for a small order.

Everyone knows about the capabilities of local defence industry. Govt has just adopted a more proactive approach to arm twist global arm manufacturers to pursue the make in India program. In short you want to supply your toys to India make it here.
Makes sense we cannot continue with these forex draining expenditures. Save for strategic weapons like s 400 , nuclear submarines
