Who said anything about launching from space? Mach 5-7 terminal speed pretty much means launching from ~15km altitude, not from LEO where terminal speed would be beyond Mach 18.

How is the range of AAM calculated ?? What is the criteria ?? Never understood it .

Especially Front ON v/s Tail Chase mode.

Its quiet simple mathmatically.

Consider this scenario. The target is approaching you at Mach 1 and you detect it at supposedly 150 km and launch the missile. Now flying at Mach 4, the interception distance for the missile would be at 120 km. This is head on chase range.

Now say at 50 km range the target detects you and return back at same Mach 1 speed and then you launch the missile. The interception range would be at 70-75 km. This is your tail chase mode. Keeping the speed of missile and target constant, the interception time would be 1.5 minutes approx.

We will have some higher number of cases,but it won't be as deadly as delta to cause such massive effect on tejas mk2.
But yea if they introduce nationwide lockdown then expect delays
