Base RD-93 (currently being used in Mig-29s and JF-17s) is a bit more powerful than FE-404.

Other factors, let's see. Anyway, in warfare, such small differences do not translate to operational advantage, but rather tactics and how you use them.



Mk1 is ready(ish). Mk2 is still under fabrication, it will be tested, issues sorted out, then FOC will take anything from 2-5 years from now.
Isn't electric power and thrust totally different , isn't xf9 generate double the power of f119 with similar thrust

My understanding (can be wrong), is that a small o/p of engine turbines will be used to power generators, which in turn will generate the required electricity to run other components. When on the ground (and the engine is turned off), this work is handed over to the auxiliary power unit (APU).

Although it is completely possible RD-93 is allocating a smaller unit of power to its generators than GE-404 (can only be verified with technical docs), but a linear correlation between them, more engine thrush (hence, more power to turbines) means more electricity in general.

Even then power difference between it and f404 is negligible and f404 is far more fuel efficient and reliable.

Regular aesa jf17 aesa is air cooled meaning it takes more time to cool it to function efficiently so this negates whatever gains are made by Vivaldi antenna.

Next even if they increase their detection range jf17 has pretty poor kinematics to be able to take full advantage of long range bvr missiles . Mk1a is again far ahead and can exploit bvr ranges much better than jf17.
rd 93 ma is not going on blk 3, it is official now and there will be no irst.

Yes, I directly co-related to engine thrust to power output, considering a more thrust-ier engine will have more spare power for generators to turn, same how a low-CC car drags its wheels if you turn on the AC.
Jets do have on board generators with engine to power their baterries. The onboard power generation is not directly proportional to thrust output. Russian engines are notorious in this regard.

what are chances that the futuristic unmanned fighter aircraft is CATS warrior itself ? As per this Tarmac Talking interview,ADE develops the flight control systems for Drones and fighters, What if HAL & newspace are taking ADE's help for CATS warrior?

Quite possible and can't be ruled out.
But it can also be possible that it's dog fight capable drone which will operate alongside amca,i asked hvt sir about this
