We cannot retain the talents dude. That's the harsh truth. I don't like the selection procedures at DRDO. In AFRL you just have a round of verbal interview, that too on the topic of your choice.
idk why these people dont form a startup for aerospace grade materials, there is huge shortage of these kind of companies in india, only midhani is in this field. :fyeah:

There is no core technology private firm dedicated to aeroengines and aerospace grade materials. Though Kalyani has a vision but unless they lift off with the ATAGS and artillery unit, it won't happen
Firms will come once there is possibility of large orders. Lca / amca and their derivatives are supposed to create base demand for aerospace Material / components/ machines.

In civilian sector c295 , Tata manufacturing components for Boeing / LM will drive growth. But govt needs to push for common procurement by airlines with make in India facilities for large orders.

Even a lighter turret will do. Just don't change the gun. 125 mm firepower 💥..Even a rapid fire 105 or 76 mm one will do as well. Cased ammunition should be considered. The gun can be made lightweight then
The AU-220m is offered as an upgrade package to bmp 2. If it's selected, maybe it can be carried onto kestral. A 2nd varient with 105mm can be considered

It comes with cased ammo
