Could be. Once missile's rocket motor burns out and it starts to decelerate the wings pop out to give it some additional range. But I think it'll be possible only in the subsonic regime, given the shape of the wings. This weapon might be used to hit moving emitters since the wings will help in changing glide path.@porky_kicker posted it on his twitter profile, no description. Any idea on what it is?
Rudram that can glide? So even higher range?

Looks like the ground tests are going very smoothly. They fixed the reheat oscillations in March, must have been ground testing the modifications since then. Would be quite awesome if we get some good news for 75th Independence Day.
It’s already posted on the Kaveri thread by someone else, but very few visit that thread so I’m posting it here too. Reach Defence is the same page which broke the Swift development and pictures first so he seems to have decent connections.
Is this air to ground missile ?It is the Khagnatak missile by BEL-JSR JV from Defexpo 2020
I admire AVM SB Deo. If he can pull this one off that would be wonderful. There was a news report somewhere which stated he ran a workshop in his backyard or something. It is the Khagnatak missile by BEL-JSR JV from Defexpo 2020

It looks more like those mini dragon fly drones. What exactly advantages these bring anyway? You can create smaller drones based on the traditional design. Here is the real pic of the IITK flapping wing UAV

The technical term would be Ornithopter am I rightIt looks more like those mini dragon fly drones. What exactly advantages these bring anyway? You can create smaller drones based on the traditional design.
We have drones like these,
Smaller, seem more balanced and apply some reflective panels on the body that they just reflect few percentages of the light passed on them and you have got the perfect camo considering its size.
Unless there's some advantage related to power usage these don't make sense.
