Why to compare both?
End result is both are working hard for India,ADE has gained some great success lately on the ucav program

True, though ADE is indeed a young lab and has still to make any one of it's major project i.e. nirbhay/ITCM or Tapas reach their conclusion or induction. Projects are indeed taking too much overtime here. Seeing HAL taking high tech project like CATS which honestly I never thought it ever would. One would assume that DRDO would be pioneer for such projects.
I hope both ADE and HAL be successful in their endeavours. Unmanned systems should be heavily invested upon in both aerial and sea or subsea domain.

Not just because of a crash, but multitude of problems led to cancellation of the project. On top of that, when we signed the deal of Phalcon in 2004, it was final nail in the coffin for the project.

But none the less, it has been a learning curve for us and Netra was outcome of the project.

DRDO doing Testing Testing I hope Rustom and it's varaints are more reliable and advanced than these Turkey , Iran Thailand things . Because otherwise Army won't select it there requirements are stringent and Israel is waiting for giving us anything and army just want a reason to order from abroad . So DRDO products must be god's creation

People don't realise that Rustom 2 went through lot of modifications and now it is a perfect system with features at par with any western drone.

Yep seems like ADE is quite confident as they have displayed a full scale prototype and ground station. Hopefully user trails goes well and gets inducted quicky for increased recon and minimises OODA by mid 2022
