Single crystal Turbine blades acceptable performance 🙄HAL couldn't make it so task was given to DRDO
These blades themselves are an evolution of the Kaveri Project, naturally it implies that DRDO has made it, hence it is obvious that some components have come from DRDO and are being used by HAL so as to not duplicate efforts and waste time in making components which are already there.

DRDO can’t do it on their own, a multi disciplinary study or committee with all branches of security (internal and external) needs to be setup and give a list of things for DRDO to work on. not just DRDO, there will be a lot of scope for private sector as well.

there is a limit to what engineers can think of, on their own.

and this committee should keep giving inputs periodically, because threats are always evolving.

Off-topic post:
Anyone has info about cable management from hull to rotating turret? Slip rings don't seem to be a very robust solution. How does tank turrets go round and round without getting their innards twisted in a knot?
Not 100% sure, but I think it would indeed be slip rings for electric wires and hydraulic swivels for pressure lines. If slip rings are impractical for some reason, they might use a rotary transformer.
It could also be a Canfield Joint, but I doubt it. Those are mostly for spacecrafts only as far as I know.

Wonder how pressure lines and electrical and data cables are placed without getting tangled. Coaxially maybe?
Canfield joints are not for rotary application AFAIK, they are for gimbal applications.

Yeah, co-axially. Put the slip ring around the hydraulic swivel. Canfield joints can also ensure tangle-free cables, multiple of them. Yes its a gimbal joint, but doesn't mean it can't be used for rotations as well.

A joint committee should be making decisions for all developments and procurements. If thats not possible, at least for things that are common so that AF and Navy dont end up buying diff communication equipment for their fighters.
