After seeing this scale model I think this is a pretty good Stealth Design , Nose section is very interesting - better stealth , good airflow for engine , better stealth from sideways. The air intake structure( side ways) much similar to F22 and offers better stealth features( unlike that shitty J20 ) top section also offers better stealth from AWACS which searches from above .
No EOTS , two patches in the nose section indicates may be Some sensors like cheek mounted Radar , No IRST , The HySIS spectral imaging satellite can directly feed into AMCA so it will get EOTS&IRST like sensor support without sensors , probably they will be added in the MK2 or may be it is already there .

Think they want a super Stealthy Aircraft without any protruding surfaces , May be better stealth than F22 & F35 if we use similar materials like of 22&35 .

Only time will tell how good it will be. Some people are disappointed that it doesn't look much fancy and immediately concluded it is not upto the mark , no words for those .

The intakes and side view of an earlier iteration . They both are almost similar if we consider the newer variant with the diverteless si. But our intakes are stealthier due to the absence of that voluminous bulge .

What you must have meant was the ventral belly where in our Amca has a smooth flat belly tight upto the engine bay whereas the ventral portion of J-20 especially at the aft section are contoured and curvy . In this regard, our Amca is even better than the F-35 which has some bumps and curves here and there underneath .

Here's some high quality snaps from the video.

I love the new dsi intakes.

No auxiliary weapons bays are present .

Possible reason in AMCA thread...

Regarding the air intakes you are not correct. The F-22 uses F-15 style movable ramps for shock generation unlike the DSI of F-35 and J-20 which doesn't have any moving parts and is simple.

F-22 uses such a ramp structure with diverter plates and intakes because of its higher top speed . DSI are simpler ,weigh less and doesn't need a lot of maintainance . That's why Su-57 used ramps in the inlet instead of dsi because it also has a Mach 2.0+ max speed and higher supercruise speed. When you need that extra performance you need to focus on the minor details . And Su-57 isn't what most Western fanboys and F-22 and F-35 experts allege it to be .

DSI offers you mediocre performance at higher speeds unlike the variable ramps. It's all about what you want your ac to do and the tradeoffs required to accomplish the same.
Agreed here. For higher kinematic performance a ramp structure is best. Unless you tune your DSI to work best at that high speed, in which case your DSI will impede low speed performance. Its all about tradeoffs. IMO the IAF wants the AMCA to be supermaneouverable at subsonic WVR combat and have decent suprecruise speeds in the range of 1.2M-1.4M, for which this DSI is optimized. At the top end this plane will do 1.8M. The design philosophy is akin to a stealthy Rafale. Strong multi-role characteristics with stealth and affordability. If at all we go for an Advanced Heavy Combat Aircraft in the F-22 or Su-57 class, we should expect ramps. One word on the Su-57: Its primarily designed to catch the F-22 in WVR combat and defeat it in that regiment. Hence its stealth shaping is more at the front and is ignored from other dimensions.

DSI has been tested experimentally on F-16 upto Mach 2.0. Remeber Mach 2.0 is also the maximum that a normal F-16 can handle.

Even higher > 2.0 Mach numbers can be attained if needed by modying the inlet design.

There are CFD simulations reported in scientific literature validating.

People (Lockheed Martin) have even patented diverterless hypersonic inlet (DHI) for Mach no. 3-10, typically for integrated turbojet and RAM-SCRAMJET application.

Just putting it out there, aircrafts with only a single nose carriage wheel bother the f*ck out of me.
I like my plane with 2 wheels.

The air intake looks like a fish mouth

Didn't expect the whole new design of TEDBF concept to be ready this quickly!..

Looking at the shaping of its fuselage, it should have better area-ruling coefficient than both MWF & AMCA... It's not gonna have internal weapons bay it seems, so much more internal fuel than AMCA.
Man they are really making very beautiful designs.

Tedbf in all its glory.

Notice the chines underneath the cockpit. Very Rafale ish .

A close coupled delta planform offers tremendous advantages in low speed handling, high alpha controllability, exceptional STR and awesome itr, internal volume for fuel , high payload and bring back capability over a conventional four plane - two wings and horizontal control surfaces layout

It is due to this that emphasis is being given on this particular configuration .

@Karthi
Bro why you angry Nigga'
Just pointed out a superficial resemblance

Porks and Chinkies already jumped into spreading we are copied Rafale and J31 . We should not repeat this mistake . I am not angry but just reacted like that .

They spreading this in Social Media.

But I can spot many many differences. And can prove they are not copies but we'll researched designs . But yes they have some similarities
