Not only is our Dharma the ancient most among all the religions in the world, but we Bhagwas can also proudly boast of the sheer diversity of our festivals and religious events . There is no other country or race which can brag about the same.

Mera Bharatvarsh mahan.
Happy Kichri Sankrant to all the members.

Thales-Starstreak-Missile-e1462902422689.jpg

Thales and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Government of India enterprise, have signed a Teaming Agreement to work in partnership on the STARStreak Air Defence system with the support of both the Governments of India and the United Kingdom.

The Teaming Agreement was signed by Thales and BDL in the presence of UK and Indian Government representatives in a virtual ceremony on January 13th 2021.

Through the agreement, BDL will become a part of the STARStreak global supply chain, providing the opportunity for export of Indian manufactured components to existing and future STARStreak Air Defence customers, including the UK Armed Forces.

Today’s agreement will also provide the opportunity for BDL to offer a ‘Make in India’ STARStreak solution to the Indian Government, with a capability that will match the immediate air defence needs of the Indian Army and Air force, and with 60% of the system manufactured in India.
It also represents an opportunity for further UK and Indian Industrial co-operation and will cement the ambition for closer collaboration and co-development between our two nations, supporting the ambitions of our governments’ recently signed Defence Technology and Industrial Capability Cooperation MoU

which Glock conversion kit has a charging handle ?

For reference form factor

It's not about charging handle per se, as almost all of these 'pistol-to-carbine conversion kits' have a piece to actuate slide of the pistol so that way it 'acts' like a charging handle

for e.g. everybody's favourite here,Micro Roni, red square is 'charging handle' on it

BUT important point that everybody is missing regarding these 'kits' are they are just shells with buttstock and rails in which a pistol recides,to give better gripping of a full auto pistol, at best it's a 'jugaad' to use a full auto pistol like an SMG.

otherwise here it is, a pistol with butt, vertical grip and other expansions

Now coming back to Asmi, we can clearly see it from observing the lower part that it's not a separate pistol, rather it's given a shape like one.It is clearly not a conversion kit = empty shell but houses a dedicated mechanism inside ala a different, dedicated gun on its own!

anyways given that the previous bullpup which was shown before def expo, gone missing without even a video of it firing, will have to wait and see if asmi development will go any further after aero india.

atleast the officer who developed will get a merit medal for taking this initiative.

You mean that INSAS based bullpup thingy ?

sorry to say but it clearly did not have any merit to start with, buttstock was just a polymer block stuffed inside rear trunnion of INSAS, trigger moved forward with extension bar inside that makes it 'spongy' due to lengthened pull, not ideal for a rifle (this same shit is also present in QBZ-95 because it's same concept = bullpup-ise AK) and what not.
To me at least it was a more or less proof of concept that INSAS can be further modernised to make a new weapon outta it but somehow it looked like something that is bound to be failed.
