Yes it can be with slight modifications , and it can travel at Mach 5 with new engine , which is currently under development .
So range enhancement of existing missiles may happen as an MLU.

What is the orgin of new engine ?

From the horse's mouth.

A press statement from the Indian Army said, “On November 24, approximately 1003 hours IST, Indian Army successfully test fired a BrahMos Land Attack Cruise Missile using a Mobile Autonomous Launcher (MAL) from Car Nicobar Islands against a designated target located at a range of approximately 200 kilometers in Bay of Bengal. During this successful test launch, the missile demonstrated the weapon’s unmatched lethal ability and formidable precision strike capability.”

The release added, “The land attack version of BrahMos with capability of cruising at 2.8 Mach speed, is the cutting edge of the Indian Army since 2007. The present Block III version of the missile has successfully executed four operational launches in the past. With the upgraded capability the missile can hit targets at a range of upto 400 Km with precision. The launch marks the achievement of a critical milestone in enhancing India’s capability of engaging enemy’s vitally important targets in depth areas. The launch was witnessed by various dignitaries who lauded the commendable effort demonstrated during the successful execution of the launch.”
So the Official range now is 400 km.

This was a block 3 Brahmos. The block III variant had already been tested four times in the past. So today's test was the the fifth launch

PARAM Ambar to strengthen India’s climate research, real-time weather monitoring

Inaugurated by ISRO chairman K Sivan recently, PARAM Ambar is one of the space agency's largest operational computational facilities.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) recently strengthened its supercomputing capacity after adding a 1.65-Petaflops PARAM Ambar to its network.

PARAM Ambar (Advanced Machine for Basic Atmospheric Research) offers high throughput storage of 2 Petabytes and archival capacity of 1 Petabytes. Inaugurated by ISRO chairman K Sivan recently, PARAM Ambar is one of the space agency’s largest operational computational facilities.

Developed by Pune-headquartered Centre for Development of Advanced Computing ( C-DAC), the supercomputer will serve disaster management agencies in a big way. It will also be used for climate modelling, carrying out research related to atmospheric and oceanic processes, and for real-time weather forecasting.

Alongside climate research, Ambar will also be used for ISRO’s monitoring networks dedicated for prediction of heavy rainfall evidences, air quality, prediction of genesis, occurrence and intensification of deep convections or cloud bursts, assimilation of satellite radiances in atmospheric and oceanic models, and centennial scale climate modelling, among other functions.

Team Terneagle from Punjab Engineering College emerged as the winner of Dassault Systèmes’ first-ever virtual hackathon in India on drones and UAVs- Drone-a-thon: Propelling Sustainability. Team Terneagle will recieve a cash prize, access to Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform and brand applications, and mentorship from the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab.
The winner was chosen from the top five identified teams based on their idea pitch presentations on themes like agriculture, city, healthcare and defense to the honorable jury. These teams are Terneagle, Kisan Mitra, Agro-Raptor, Las-Innovation & Pegasus. The jury panel was comprised of Piyush Srivastav- Chief, Natural Resource Divison, Tata Steel ; Steven Woolley, CTO, EXICOM ; Abhishek Burman, CEO, General Aeronautics ; A.K. Ghosh, Professor, IIT Kanpur ; S. Sridhar, Addl. General Manager HAL India ; and Frederic Vacher, Director, 3DEXPERIENCE Lab, Dassault Systèmes. Along with Team Terneagle the other top teams Agro-Raptor and Pegasus also got an opportunity to present at the 3DEXPERIENCE Conference 2020 India.
Team Terneagle addressed the challenge of delivering parcels by e-commerce companies from the delivery center to customers using drones to reduce delivery time and safety aspects of delivery. The drones designed by Team Terneagle can be used in consumer goods delivery, postal deliveries, food deliveries, healthcare-medical deliveries and even in disaster management. The major aspect of their design is the ability to transform between quadcopter mode and glider mode. Quadcopter mode will take the drone to the desired height while the glider mode will help the drone to travel at high altitudes at high speed. The drone features vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) capabilities, large cargo space, GPS return to home, anti-collison light ID plate, LED plates, RFID and SIM/No Permission No Takeoff (NPNT) safety features. With capabilities to function in full autonomous mode, VTOL capabilities, quick flight speed and large range, it can be easily used for multiple applications when it meets regulatory standards. This design and Team Terneagle will be mentored by the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab network worldwide.

HAL produces the AL-31FP from the raw material stage at Koraput .

The HPT, LPT blades and rotor discs and LPC and HPC blades and discs including the guide vanes, combustor and accessory gearbox are all made from raw materials . The HPT single crystal turbines are manufactured by investment casting method.

Investment casting produces castings of excellent surface finish and dimensional accuracy .

High pressure turbine rotor disc is manufactured from Nimonic alloys. Nimonic alloy is used for very high temp applications where structural rigidity and mechanical properties like tensile strength, creep resistance, fatigue life needs to be maintained . This alloy has 50 + percent of Nickel along with Chromium cobalt titanium Manganese.

I know. I think they used GaN for patch one first since they are the easiest to built. While the GaAs based Vivaldi one are going into RWR and other EW system first. Imagine a GaN base radar using Vivaldi antenna. bandwidth would be no less than 5 Ghz. LPI and ECCM capabilities will be off the charts. We sure are moving in right direction. :india2:
