Can't wait to see them onboard our destroyers … I just hope these SLS launchers be installed like 120 of them on a destroyer. 60x60 configuration if that even possible. Yes tonnage will increase but the firepower and lethality of supersonic and hypersonic (in future) will increase ten folds.
IMO these launchers ( in the case of ships ) are only for testing as part of the floating test range , they won't be installed in our warships . Our future warships will have a universal VLS to launch multiple types of missiles including AD-1 & AD-2. Current configuration ( 0° to 90° traverse of launcher for firing ) takes up valuable space on deck which is very limited on warships.

IMO other than testing purposes as part of floating test range these launchers in future can also be installed inside cargo containers just like the Russians did with their Klub missiles and hence parked on civilian ships. Nobody will be wiser.

Photo is horizontally inverted!.. Original would be this :View attachment 56185
Eh ?

The pic I posted was from Bahrain defence exhibition

Anyways

The blow off panel was on the loaders side in the original pic

And

The blow off panel continued to remain on the loaders side in your inverted pic

So inverting the pic served what purpose ? :confused1:

Ordnance Factory Tiruchirappalli has launched a Stabilized Remote Controlled Gun(SRCG). It comes with a 12.7mm M2 machine gun can remotely engage small boats with high accuracy during day & night. The SRCG can be mounted on warships/patrol boats.

seriously private company developed HGV.
Let's see , no private company will develop HGV unless sanctioned by govt and helped by govt agencies like drdo. Eg will need access to hypersonic wind tunnels available with isro. High heat resistant exotic materials can only be supplied by govt agencies , will need a proven ballistic missile to test flight the HGV etc.

HGV-202F by HTNP Industries

Akola, Aug 12, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - The invisible threat of Coronavirus pulled up dark clouds over Hypersonic testing of it's Hypersonic Glide Vehicle (HGV) HGV-202F that have been developed by Indian defense StartUp HTNP Industries.

Warhead was set to test under the supervision of respective government organizations in June but has to be postponed till the situation normalizes.

The co-founder and CEO of HTNP Industries, Shantanu Gawande have yet to clarify the test schedule of HGV but is expected to do it soon in this month. The HGV is being developed by the Advanced Hypersonic department of HTNP Industries in HTNP Industries's Material Science and Engineering lab (MSEL). HTNP Industries CSO Saurav Chaudhari did said about the progress of HGV and its glide path.

HGV-202F is HTNP Industries's ambitious project to develop the country's first HGV. Following Russian Avangard, Chinese DF-ZF and US's Common Hypersonic Glide Body (C-HGB), HGV-202 is faster and has better accuracy than Chinese DF-ZF.

This test of HGV-202F is about the maneuverability of the Warhead at Hypersonic conditions.

The MSEL has issued a set of guidelines for their scientists and other staff on the prevention of coronavirus infection. As part of precautionary measures, bio-metric attendance has been stopped and priority is being given on complete sanitation of surfaces frequently used by staff.

Meetings and discussions are being done through video conferencing on Skype to ensure the safety of staff and to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. All necessary precautions and guidelines are being followed by the company and its labs.

Take it with a bucket load of NaCl. They might have been concerned or associated with tech-development or even part development. But saying that the whole vehicle is prepared by a start-up is some what over the horizon as of now.

Those HTNP Industries guys are crazy . They want to build a 12000 to 45000 km range Ballistic missile with Mach 45+ speeds . And this HGV 202F is a 18 Mach glide vehicle. The Chief Scientific Officer guy was in Research Gate. He seems to have done some research on Hypersonic vehicles. This seems like a very very bad prank. And if its true then is that Nav Area alert of 550 kms this month for these guys HGV test? They said the test will happen this month?

What is the status of UVLS development?
