Now Caracal should be shown the door.. If required JVPC could be manufactured in joint venture b/w OFB and some private firm
I don't think so because each have different types of ammunition.
The 5.56 * 45 round and the 5.56 * 30 round are not equal.
Have different properties w. r. to bullet velocity, maximum range, armour penetration etc.
The 5.56 * 30 round may not be suitable for counter terrorism and counter insurgency operations and may be under powered.
I am not saying that the Caracal Car 816 CQB should be the only choice. Any good weapon of its class can be considered.

Army issued RFI for 93895no. CQB 5.56mm carbine ( on January 2018) for FTP and 350500 no. 5.56*45 mm CQB carbine (on Aug 2018).

JVPC is for PDW 5.56*30 mm MINSAS round. It's been in development around since around 2005. Earlier avatar was known as Milaap carbine.

Caracal Car 816 is a carbine chambered in 5.56*45mm NATO. The Indian analogues of Car 816 will be Insas MK1C (from OFB), new 5.56*45 mm CQB (from OFB) and P-72 carbine (from SSS defence).

In addition to that OFB(Trichy) is offering a carbine called TAR carbine chambered in 7.69*39 mm and is similar to AK-74SU klinkov.

Media reports indicated that caracal deal is cancelled. It would be interesting to see which one gets inducted.
Incidentally in addition to JVPC clearing trials now, Insas MK1C has also cleared army trials in 2015, but was not inducted due to change in caliber requirement.

Then there is this

IAF Poster-2 (1).jpg

NGLGB kit poster which talks about indigenisation of its components .

Add0.12.26.jpg

Bomb body is Mk 11 , 1000 lb ( 450 kg ) , fore fins are not shown . But it looks like Griffin 3 LG kit . IAF bought them few years back . Looks like some components being manufactured locally as shown in the 1st pic.

Range 10-15 km depending on altitude.

Now question is where is drdo LGB or NGLGB ( whatever it's name is ) ?

D-JAG is an integrated EW system for warning and jamming that encompasses RWR, ECM, ESM functions and uses MPM based transmitters for jamming the enemy radars. The system detects and gives the information about the position of the RF sources illuminating the aircraft and applies the appropriate jamming technique.

Passive radar , does not emit signals , could be considered as a stealth radar. Detects targets by picking up reflections bouncing off aerial targets from FM / radio stations / cell towers and other signals emitters .

Looks like this one is the ground launched version of the air launched drone ( or maybe a entirely different drone )

If former is true then it will be used to validate and refine the aerodynamics and flight control system etc before moving onto the air launched version

A01.38.00.jpg

Eg in the air launched version the wings will be foldable. The ones above look fixed.

Whoever's channel it maybe , whatever voice one may choose etc ... should not matter as long as the content is good enough ( and not anti national / anti cultural )

Also self promotion is not a problem, unless one promotes how will others know of the same .

The main reason why I support freelance content creators is because they help to break the strangle hold of MSM , paid media etc , however small the effect , it must be encouraged and be supported possibly with constructive criticism if needed . And never discouraged over trivial points etc.
