Ashok Leyland already uses the Neptune series of in house designed engines in it's Super Stallion series. The FAT meant for Dhanush and already in service uses this Neptune engine.Noob question. Can we use engines for tanks and IFV, in heavy military trucks?

We should be standardizing LM2500 engines across all our Naval platforms before electric propulsion takes over.IAC -1 , Vikrant has completed her basin trials. She will start her sea acceptance trials in early 2021 followed by induction into the Navy in mid 2022.

Stretched CATOBAR Vikrant with further design improvements and Indian designed aviation complex is what should be the Vishal. If agreements are signed now then the nuclear reactor can be made with Russian or French assistance. Even if the reactor is not as great as the US ones where it is fueled for the life of the ship, in our case it will serve the purpose.Vikrant is one hell of a sexy ship, a catobar version of her would be mouth watering
Isn't LM2500 was licenced produced by L&T in past? has HAL reversed engineered it ?
Yes, but Sintex Water tank is still present on the top of MF-STAR.IAC -1 , Vikrant has completed her basin trials. She will start her sea acceptance trials in early 2021 followed by induction into the Navy in mid 2022.

No probably. Too big (it'd ve a great achievement if they did reduce the size that much!). Although T-72/90 were meant to get 1200+hp engines as MLU.Mk.2? Can it be used on T72?
