For the last ten years, GoPro had always been a much larger company than DJI. That has now changed.

For 2016, China's DJI drone-maker has revenues of $1.47 billion. In contrast, GoPro expects revenues of about $1.3 billion.

This is a tectonic shift. DJI now has more monetary resources than GoPro. This means DJI's Mavic portable drone will have more resources for future development than GoPro's Karma.
