Kunal, in Your latest post, the second photograph shows burning T-54/55 (or rather Chinese ZTZ-59/69) not T-72 tank. Take a closer look to the hull rear, side skirts and wheels.

Last photo shows not a BMP but MT-LB.

From the site i took, It say that..

Though its obviously correct, that is MT-LB and rest are T-59s..

Sorry. Lost way in streams, can not find about the "Greatest tank battles", therefore write here - to more near theme:

I gave you the above information, which clearly indicates that for the same period of time, the Turkish army has lost 10 German tanks Leopard-2A4, and just only one tank M-60T amerikans production!

The better design is always put on front-lines, Its simply states that nothing else ..

Tank being taken out in their dug out positions and while moving stress less coordination with Infantry and aviation, Its more tactics than tool again ..

German tank Leopard-2A4 - the real thin-walled tin cans. Take into account the fact that the Leopard-2A4 tanks suffered such heavy losses primarily from anti-tank weapons of the enemy. Now, just think of what used huge losses suffered by German tanks Leopard-2A4 used if they had to face the tanks of T-80UD "Birch"?

If you are interested in this vs that, I money is on Leo A4 for obvious reasons ..

T-72/80/90/64 all share same drawback of carousel auto-loader, It won`t be any different from this when hit at ammunition storage at chassis, In fact Ammunition distribution is worst than T-72 / 90 in case of T-80 / 64..

At least Leo A4 has containerized ammo bin at turret and ammunition kept at chassis at a specific location rather all around like in Tin cans ..

Btw, Their are plenty of photos of wreaked T-80/ 64 from Ukrainian War cause by ammunition rack explosions ..

The real opposition Arjun Mk.1 tanks against the "hunters of Leopard-2" T-80UD, Indian tanks and tankers can only sympathize. Implications for the Indian Arjun Mk.1 tanks (simplified copy of German tank Leopard-2A4 in the Indian style) would be simply disastrous, if God forbid they have to meet face to face with the Pakistani tanks predators T-80UD "Birch", sharpened at the destruction - Leopard-2A4, and cheap imitations and copies.

In Chechen and Russian-Ukrainian war Soviet tanks withstand frontal hits 7-8 cumulative shells. It all depends on the nature of war .
