for the next edition aero India and defexpo, either organisers or the industry folks should send a few passes and invite stunt co-ordinators and action directors from film industry and give them a guided tour especially of the vehicles. we can now say armoured vehicles from domestic industry industry have screen presence. these creative folks will be able make some action set pieces involving these vehicles.

just another form of marketing, afterall the purpose of these events is marketing.

so far only mahindra rakshak seems to have made it to movies.

Devils advocate here.
Why does it matter, why should they shill their product to public?
It's not as if we are a factor in procurement, neither are we their cutsomer.

public are not a factor in choosing sabot rounds fired from AC-130 gunship, but micheal bay made sure that there is a dialogue that mentions this in a transformers movie.

we have to start thinking in terms of soft power as well.

Sir ji no offense but the CGI used in most of the bollywood movies are pathetic and when once in a while if they use any military vehicle or aircraft they make it look even more pathetic. If only they use and make it look good then we can have proper PR.

Have they finally decided on a turret for the TATA kestrel?
Last I heard they slapped a BMP2 turret on it.
From what I read there is a new unmanned turret under development. Once developed, it will go on-board the WhAP as well as the FICV.

that's ok, skillsets are built over time, but someone has to invest time and effort.
if we go back and look at some of the stunts from stallone, van damme and schwarzenegger movies from 90's, they look awkward now. they got better over time in hollywood too.

Good.

But it backfires when foreign OEMs see bollywood celebs craze at defence events.

Lets see if anyone recognize this masterpiece :scared1:

it was my first event experience 😑

I think GOI should support in making movies like Uri, Ghazi and give them tax incentives.

This reminded me of the era when hired russkie singers sang raj kapoor songs to woo Indians here, as MTS a russian telecom agency started their service here during that dreadful period of 2G
