Command and control
The Indian army is the de facto senior service of the Indian armed forces as it is also the oldest the Indian army is a direct descendent of the BRITISH Indian Army and that of the princely states and there for harbors all the traditions and structures of the army of the Raj it is often said that the Indian Army is more British than the British them self
Currently the Indian Army's C2 is arrange as such
In the future the Indian army's C 2 is to base on the Prussian General staff
The General Staff will be divided into various departments.
The 1st Department, dealing with China
The 2nd Department will deal with deployment of Personnel and material. It has two sections:
The Alpha section will deal with all matters concerning the Indian army, specifically its development in times of peace. This included its training, weaponry, equipment, and organization. It also dealt with border protection and the deployment of the army in case of mobilization.
The bravo section will deal with matters concerning the defensive capability and equipment of Indian army.
The Transport Department will deal with all logistics issues
The 3rd Department will deal with Pakistan and Afghanistan
The 4th Department will deal with capability analysis of those countries
The 5th Department will deal with Bangladesh Nepal Bhutan Burma
The 6th Department will deal with capability analysis of those countries
The 7th Department will deal with sri lanka and Maldives
Studies and Observation Department will observe and evaluate political and military developments in other countries using the press, diplomacy, military and intelligence reports, etc.
Regimental organization
as said in the beginning the Indian army had inherited the traditions of the British Indian army among which it also inherited the system of multi battalion ethnic regiments that have specific recruitment areas assigned to them and the regiment is a matter of great honor and privilege to the men and officers who serve in them as these regiments are over a 100 years old as an average the future Indian army shall keep its regimental organization as it is and re raise and divisionize the regiments
Guards Division
The Guards division shall be a special combat division within the army Orbat Based out of Delhi and shall take on the brigade of guards

The regiment shall be equipped with grays and beige horses chargers for ceremonial duties and is to be equipped with Piranha IIIC 8x8

All personnel shall ware a variant of the Canadian Disruptive Pattern Known as the Indian Disruptive Pattern with the GS (General Service) Mark 7 combat helmet. The IDP will be matted to the Army Combat Uniform along with Terra Combat Boots

The Jericho 941 will replace the Pistol Auto 9mm 1A in armed forces service
