lebanon is not your regular country, hezbollah owns almost everything there, especially in beirut. when two parallel systems govern one country, inefficiencies creep in. you never know.
since israel has denied any action, and offered to help lebanon medically.

Ammonium Nitrate was the personal favorite of Indian Mujahideen. Majority of the bomb blasts that took place under the Indian-Mujahideen or Islamic Ummah banner between 2008-2013 were pure ammonium nitrate bombs.
They have been used in the past by Naxals as well but very effectively used by IM and sundry others.

There was such a giant blast in Toulouse, France, back in 2001, leaving 29 dead. Ammonium nitrate was also involved. At the time, there were lot of rumors of a terror attack, but they could not be verified. The explosion was not filmed.
