Indian intelligence agencies, who are closely coordinating with the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), in laying their hands on Dawood Ibrahim are facing a major hurdle in Pakistan. Sources in the agencies said they were stunned to know that Dawood regularly uses the private helicopter of a top politician of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML) to fly to his hideout in the Swat Valley.

"This is the level of connivance of the ruling establishment in Pakistan with Dawood. The Nawaz Sharif government is aware of this development, but is keeping quiet for obvious reasons,'' an intelligence official told dna. Dawood, wanted in several bomb blast cases and other crimes in India, is believed to be holed up in the Swat Valley, where the Taliban is active.

According to an intelligence analyst, it makes no difference to Dawood whether Pakistan is ruled by the army, the Pakistan Peoples Party or the PML led by Nawaz Sharif as he continues to enjoy protection from the all-powerful Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

Dawood is prized as a major "asset" of the ISI, which has launched an all-out effort to keep him away from the prying eyes of Indian and US intelligence personnel. He is also being given secure lines of communication so that no one is able to tap his phones. The ISI and the rest of the Pakistani establishment has learnt a big lesson from the US Navy Seals' covert operation in Abbottabad, which resulted in the killing of Osama bin Laden, the world's most-wanted terrorist.

The ISI is making sure that there are no -----s in the armour when it comes to Dawood. The ISI fears that the fine details of several of its covert operations, including many bombings in India, would be revealed if Dawood is kidnapped in a joint Indo-US counter-terrorist operation. "The ISI would rather itself eliminate Dawood than let him be pilfered away by Indian or American personnel,'' a senior intelligence official said.

Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde recently revealed that after netting in Yasin Bhatkal, the top operative of the Indian Mujahideen, Dawood is next on the hit-list. Shinde even disclosed that the help of US intelligence was being taken to bring Dawood - designated as one of the top 10 terrorists of the world by the US - to justice.

No fear
For Dawood, it does not matter whether the army, Pakistan Muslim League or the Pakistan Peoples Party is in power. He enjoys the ISI's backing

The ISI does not want Dawood to get caught by US and Indian intelligence agencies in a covert operation.

I fear that Dawood will fade away and become this mythic uncapturable hero figure for retard jihadis, much like the legend of hitler living in an underground bunker off the coast of brazil for neo nazis. It would be good if we can somehow nail him. The fact that he used to come to cricket matches in sharjah, and the we knew all his movements during his daughters wedding and stll couldnt catch him is really bewildering.

Indian Intelligence should should nail dawood associates in India these associates of dawood are into every business & remit monies to pakistan i believe. There are lot of tech parks in Bangalore which are run by his associates.

India government should see to that no money goes to dawood from India. If we correct our internal affairs then dawood becomes irrelevant to us.

Our failure to capture Dawood speaks volumes of our inefficiency and lack of determination. Dawood is India's most Wanted Terrorist, not America's. They don't give a Rats A** on wat happens. The Indian government has been trying to get Dawood since 1993 by " diplomatic means", and has itself lost credibility among the indian people. When any terrorist or brigand is announced dead, photos of the dead person are splashed in the news as proof for the people, as their word is Not Good Enough. Contrast to Obama announcing Osama Bin Ladens capture and death. No photos were shown, but no doubts were lingering. If Obama lied, or made a statement w/o verification, he could lose his job.

It took what..20 years to capture sandal wood smuggler veerappan, who lived inside the country,in a jungle,, and had some local contacts. This guy is international, and with a lot of powerful contacts, you can be sure that the operation is going to be incredibly hard.

If Obama lied, or made a statement w/o verification, he could lose his job.
U.S presidents do lie lol, or atleast have machinary in place to do it for them (media etc). Politicians are pretty much the same anywhere, the difference is that they atleast most of them try to do their job to a certain extent

Get Dawood's' Samdhi' Javed Miandad as a cricket host in India, let some of our non state actors hold him hostage, and exchange him for Dawood. A possible option.
