There is no denying the fact that Tibet was never part of China in the first place. But the question is to what extent Tibet can take this confrontation. It is up to them to unit and strategize, the ways and methods to repel China.

Tibet can't survive alone because Tibet is a land locked country, just like Mongolia or Kazakhstan. Either way Tibet had to obey to China or India if they had independence. As for the current political climate I don't think China will ever give Tibet independence because Tibet will align with India or worst of all become Indian state.

And both Kazakhstan and Mongolia are independent sovereign nations, what a contradiction that sentence was!!!

Kazakhstan was former soviet state and also was Mongolia hence they didn't had much trouble with their economies and stuff. But after they got independent the lack of sea ports hampered their development. There fore these countries had to rely on a some powerful neighbor. Tibet situation is like that if they got Independence they have to chose a partner otherwise they can't . They can't keep natural stance.
