I think its gonna be Langer
That's what the chatter suggests. But Langer was one of the cricketers with the Old School Western Australia mentality, loved his team more than anything and actually was not fond of the Poms.

He just resigned from the position of Australia's coach, would he go straight to the Poms after resigning from his own team? Who knows.

Mike Hesson and Gary Kirsten, who are two of the contenders have actually had extremely successful coaching careers, unlike Langer.

Damn, looks like his relations soured massively with the team and the Board. And apparently Trevor Bayliss is next in line for Australia.

At least now he has some motivation for crossing over to England and helping them beat the guys who forced him out.

Money also doesn't seem to be an issue for the ECB. Langer or Alec Stewart, it'll be one of the two.

Apparently, Langer was a really bad coach, the players had major problems with him and finally got fed up of his intense approach. Doesn't seem to have fit well at all with the rest of the team.

Not sure if it makes him a good choice for the England team. Would probably only exacerbate the problems further.

He oversaw buildup of this strong Aussie team.
Eng need something like that currently.

He was gone after T20 WC but they won it.

I'd argue that the T20 WC doesn't matter that much tbh.

But I'm talking about a different aspect bro. Langer was apparently a bad coach because he just mentally destroyed the players of the current team because of his ridiculously intense approach to things.

The players just got sick of his behavior.

Actually intensity is probably the wrong word. The correct explanation would be his mental mood swings, which he would take out on the players.

For example, in the last 13 months there were leaks about mood swings, toasted sandwiches, arguments over digital content, and even how much money the coach received for the Amazon documentary compared to the players.

On the day Langer found out the players had negotiated $41,000 more than him to appear in the documentary, he changed plans late and without warning.

On the whiteboard in Melbourne, a light fielding session was scheduled. It was supposed to be nothing more than a top-up on the MCG turf.

Langer, having just discovered he’d undervalued himself despite being the centrepiece of the production, took half-a-dozen players and torched them with a gruelling fitness and fielding session in the heat.

Those involved suspect the unplanned session was payback, though they will never be sure. At least two players vomited. They weren’t angry at being made to work hard, rather they were suspect it was the temperamental coach letting off steam.

This was Langer’s problem in a nutshell. As a player, he would have relished a difficult fielding routine, with running, burpees and balls hit so hard he would end the day with calluses.

But not all players – rightly or wrongly – appreciate the same focus on intense work, especially when it comes out of the blue.

It wasn't intensity. The team's primary objection to his style revolved around his mood swings. Just seems like an unpredictable nut wearing people down.

Seems like an awful, awful match for the England dressing room.

A lot of the players are apparently wanting Jason Gillespie or some other level-headed guy now.
