There was no "surrenderred" between ancitent China and France, loss or win was quite common in old times.

In mordern time, between PRC and France Republic, who ever surrenderred?

In Chinese cyber, a famouse joke is: world's hardest mititary mission is: Capture Paris before the surrender of France

You can baidu this setence "在法国投降之前占领巴黎" see how many pages you can find ...
You did indeed surrender to France and ceded all of Indochine. When you stepped out of line we destroyed Yuanmingyuan and the CCP has left it as a monument of national shame to remind you of your weakness.

In modern times China builds replicas of the Eiffel Tower and Paris because they wish they were French.

You can baidu this term 圓明園 and see how many pages you can find of your national shame... the funniest part is it was built as an imitation of Versailles. Chinese wanted to be French even back then.

Surrender means the fallen of the whole nation, i don't think anyone more than French know the accurate definition.

At 1954, we get it back by supporting Vietnamesse army, you can google Gen. Chen Gen ...

French surrender to the Vietnamese, and no more there in Viet.

It's understandable why France surrendered in ww2 just hours without a fight. They've never been known for valor or strategic insight . Their Maginot line was a piece of shit. All its former colonies gave them a bloody nose n dumped them in no time after seeing through the paper tiger.

Compare France to Britain both as colonial powers none of erstwhile colonies miss French rule as much as they do to Brit. Airbus thrives on huge illegal subsidies but AAmericans've realized enough is enough.

France should hand over its UNSC permanent seat in a plate to India who deserves it undisputably.

China's first domestically manufactured regional passenger jetliner ARJ 21 under Chengdu Airlines made its maiden overseas flight on Saturday, embarking from Harbin, Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, to Vladivostok in Russia.

Chengdu Airlines is the first buyer of ARJ21. Since the beginning of this aircraft's commercial operations in June of 2016, Chengdu Airlines has transported more than 540,000 passengers, covering 28 cities.

At present, the total fleet size of the Chengdu Airlines is 47, including 15 ARJ21 aircraft.

British were good( or lets say worse) at exploiting resources.
However, i wouldn't call them as brutal as spanish or french colonial rule.
Britishers very much tried to uphold the local religious, cultural matrix of large colonies like India. They obviously didnt do it out of compassion, but because they knew they didnt need to aggravate the situation anymore than required to get the resources, for fear of facing retaliation.
You can see the evidence at present.
The british colonies still use their original dialects, languages for primary use while english is used primarily for official (bridging) language. In spanish colonies like mexico and french colonies like the ones in Africa, the people don't even remember their mother tongues, nor do they maintain their indigenous religions anymore. At other places like philippines, they did maintain their language but got converted to christianity. The Britishers did little in the way of crusading and can be called looting merchants at best( or worst, depending which side you're on).

Let us look at the remnants of those empires today. France has the world's largest EEZ and a thriving overseas population that has much higher GDP than their neighbours and for that reason won't leave. British colonies are largely uninhabited islands that they lease to the Americans. The British sold their stake in Airbus... they are regretting it now.

China should hand over its UNSC seat on a plate to India, China certainly hasn't done anything to deserve it. Their contribution to world order is the same level of anti-piracy conducted by Denmark. Why don't you get off your derrière and join us in the fight against radical Islam?

Back on point... your C919 is made using stolen technology. You will never be able to sell it abroad.

"but also foreign carriers such as German start-up PuRen Airlines and City Airways of Thailand."
this is as early as 2017:

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/china-watch/business/new-chinese-airliner-secures-orders/

now it has 1000 orders:

"
Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) has registered more than 1,000 orders for its narrow-body C919 and is currently developing wide-body aircraft.

According to 2019 reports...

COMAC's C919 has so far accumulated 305 orders with 703 options. Its customers are mainly Chinese airline operators. First commercial deliveries will begin in 2021 with launch customer China Eastern Airlines.

Any order for use outside of China is dependent on EASA/FAA certification which won't be happening anytime soon. Now that you have been busted for IP theft you won't even be able to buy the parts.

US trade war could impact China’s ability to manufacture rival to Airbus, Boeing, designer says
  • The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Comac) relies on US suppliers for the C919, but they could be placed on China’s unreliable entities list

Justice is about to be delivered to Airbus. And with following verdict Boeing will be able to maintain the equilibrium after its recent fiascos.
So even after tariffs on Airbus we have 100 aircraft going to Spirit and the news today...

United orders 50 new Airbus long-range jets to replace Boeing 757s
DECEMBER 3, 2019

CHICAGO (Reuters) - United Airlines Holdings Inc (UAL.O) announced on Tuesday an order for 50 Airbus SE (AIR.PA) A321XLR jets to fly between the U.S East Coast and Europe, becoming the latest U.S. airline to ink a deal for the European planemaker’s new passenger jet.

The long-range A321XLR jets will replace United’s 53 Boeing 757-200 planes beginning in 2024, the Chicago-based planemaker said, flying to cities like Porto, Portugal and other potential new destinations.

United’s 757 planes will reach the end of their lifespan in about a decade and Boeing Co (BA.N) is not building any more of the large single-aisle model.Instead, the U.S. planemaker has been considering a new twin-aisle plane, provisionally known as the NMA, but has delayed a launch decision until 2020 while it manages the ongoing global grounding of its 737 MAX jets following two fatal crashes.

United’s chief operating officer Andrew Nocella told reporters the airline has worked closely with Boeing on the potential new aircraft and is still open to orders if the planemaker decides to move forward with developing the NMA.

Meanwhile, U.S carriers including American Airlines Group Inc (AAL.O), JetBlue Airways Corp (JBLU.O) and Spirit Airlines Inc (SAVE.N) have agreed orders for Airbus A320neo-family jets.

Among the benefits of the A321XLR is a 30% lower fuel burn per seat compared to previous generation aircraft, United said.

United has also ordered the larger A350 widebody jets but said it is deferring delivery of those jets until they are needed in 2027.

Its A321XLR order is the second for a U.S. carrier following tariffs that the United States is imposing on European-made aircraft.

I wonder how far behind Boeing is now in net orders, five or six hundred? I lost count...

So even the B747 is no more popular, A380 is going to be phased out soon.

AIRBUS TO STOP MAKING A380 ‘SUPERJUMBO’ AIRCRAFT AFTER DISAPPOINTING SALES, PUTTING 3,500 JOBS AT RISK

https://www.independent.co.uk/trave...ane-suberjumbo-flights-emirates-a8778581.html
Too bad for the UK, all of those jobs in France are transferring to A350s and A320s to increase production rates and they still don't have enough. Even China is getting a piece of A320 production for Asian customers to meet the high demand. The A350 made the A380 obsolete.

Airbus A380: why did it lose the war against Boeing?
https://latinamericanpost.com/26733-airbus-a380-why-did-it-lose-the-war-against-boeing

While the 787 offers less than half the passenger capacity of the A380, it offers advantages in other fields, particularly that of fuel efficiency. Due to its lightweight fuselage and state-of-the-art engines courtesy of General Electric and Rolls Royce, the 787 ended up being 20 to 25% more efficient than the aircraft it replaced.

Let us recap the facts so far this year...

For those who are keeping count at home, Airbus has sold a total of 940 jets this year until now (January to November), after cancellations of several aircraft including the Emirates A380 order comes to a positive of 718. Their rival Boeing, however, has only sold 180 aircraft, which after cancellations comes to a positive figure of 45 aircraft.

https://simpleflying.com/airbus-orders-november-2019/

Airbus net orders = 718
Boeing net orders = 45

To suggest that Airbus is losing to Boeing when the score is 718 to 45 is the only bullshit here.

I think he's talking about the battle of ideas on the future of commercial aviation. Airbus bet on large aircraft like A380 bring 500s passenger between hubs. Then from there breaking up the passengers to smaller airports using A320 class aircraft. Boeing on the other hand bet on medium vlass aircraft the B787 that is economical enough to go direct to smaller airports but still big enough to have a lot of passengers and cargp space.

The A380 bet lost and the B787 won. The A320 however won since smaller aircrsfts have gotten longer legs due to newer engines allowinng direct long distance flights betwern smaller airports at more flexible passenger numbers. This is where Boeing needs to counter.
