It is unclear whether China's DF-26 IRBM has a range of 2,500 miles or 3,400 miles. Different reputable sources are making different claims.
There is one more thing to consider. The distance from Guam to Subic Bay (in the Philippines) is 1,646 miles. China's Huangyan Island (aka Scarborough Shoal) is 123 miles west of Subic Bay. If China reclaims Huangyan Island and places mobile TELs on it then the missile distance from Huangyan Island to Guam is only 1,769 miles.
