You better check history. Most Soviet satellites wanted out of USSR's and later Russian grip. A lot of them were forced by the USSR after WW2 to be part of tge Soviet sphere. None of these countries wanted to be part of the USSR but Stalin forced these weak countries to submit to USSR.

Did you even read before typing? I was talking about the West's actions after the collapse of Soviet Union, not after WW2. The West forced former Soviet satellite states to come closer to NATO and EU in order to surround Russia.

Why does NATO exists in first place?

The population of the Ukraine is today about 37 million if we deduct the Russian part such as the Crimea and the Luhansk, Donbas, etc. none of which will ever be part of the Ukraine again. And in fact, the Eastern Ukraine is actually Russian where most of the ten million Russians live and is certain in the future to go back to Russia which is a territory of Russia which Lenin included with the Western Ukraine to assure the loyalty of the Western Ukraine to Russia.

Sevastopol and the Crimea were joined to the Ukraine by Khrushchev who was a Ukrainian Russian himself. These were always part of Russia.

The idea of an independent Ukraine was invented by the Austrians in World War 1 to weaken their adversary Russia. It worked and the Russian Army became demoralized as the Ukrainian soldiers left the Russian Army when the Ukraine seceded from Russia in the middle of the war supported by the Bolsheviks to undermine the Tsar.

Only a moron would believe that the entirety of Ukraine thinks a singular way. It was a divided country along different languages, religions and cultures. What part of this don't you understand? The East wants reunification with Russia, the West doesn't.

US and EU politicians basically decided what a new Ukrainian government should look like, basically by diktat. Separatists exist in Ukraine for the reasons I pointed out because it is a divided country. Why did the separatists get armed? Because their leader was democratically elected, refused closer ties with the EU and was ousted.

Let me give you a brief history lesson:
