CHinese villages are being upgrade rapidly...the tide of "demolish and rebuid" is sweeping over CHinese rual areas...


here are some villages being upgrade in Jiangsu Province.


the old building is to be demolished soon.....the villagers have moved out and contracts has been signed.

old house is to be demolished and local government usually compensate those villigers with news appartments.

efore their new house is finished,local government provides freely those temporary houses to accomodate villgers ,who has moved out from old houses.

villagers can buy those new houses at at a extreme low price ,with their compensated cash.
villiagers here spend only 150KRMB(20KUSD) buying one new appartment with 3 rooms ,1 kitchroom,1dining room,1 sitting room and 2 bath rooms.

many indians here usually question why CHina consumes 10 times more steel,concrete and other resource than India.......

those pictures may tell you why.....it is because Chinese peasants are rapidly moving from those old houses to new community with modern facilities.....China has soo many peasants,so CHina is constrcuting huge quantities of such new communities too...


such a huge upgrade of course need huge steel,conscrete and other resource...

some are compensation for the demolished old houses...,which are free, of course...

the others are bought with cash by villagers,at a price lower than open market..
the pictures shows that the price is 1150-1238RMB(less than 200USD)/ per sqaure meters

i see it to be more or less real estate business by local government.its more or less a person giving his land for development for which he gets a new house as compensation while some part of his land is sold to another buyer

that is how China developes so fast.

Local governments buys lots of land and old houses from villages....then compensate villagers with new houses ,which usually are highrises and occupy much less land while having modern publich infrastrcutures.

Then, local government can sell the rest land at higher price and make profits,to upgrade publich infrastructures such as roads ,pipewaters and electricity supply.

Thus, both local governments and villagers are winners...

One cannot just post on a house 拆 (chāi) = demolish in India as they can in China.

guy, people can not live on "free breath"...
