The stewardesses are one of the big draws of the HSR system -- just like at the airlines but more personal because they get on the train just like you!

I think multiple people can lie in the thing comfortably and sleep during a trip. lol

It looks like modular design with wings, engines and the main landing gear in a main platform while the carrying compartment section containing the nose gear looks like a pod. I could see them putting in different pods for different mission variants.

Even if the planes are unmanned, crews won’t be jobless. It’s still their job to serve. Plus I honestly don’t think unmanned civil airplanes would be a reality. It can work, but more often than not, pilots have actually saved lives from disastrous circumstances. AI or Drone operator can’t do that.

It’s possible however to do this only for cargo planes.

Orders fly in for C919 passenger jet at China’s biggest air show

The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China says it has secured orders from seven local leasing firms for 300 of its narrow-body C919 passenger planes, with the first delivery to China Eastern Airlines by the end of the year.
