Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang said on Wednesday that Beijing attaches great importance to Islamabad’s position on the Kashmir issue, Radio Pakistan reported.

“China is standing by Pakistan and will continue to raise their voice in its support at every forum,” he said, adding that the country can help resolve the latest standoff between India and Pakistan.

The statement comes while the Chinese premier was meeting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in New York to discuss the matters of mutual importance.

PM seeks world leaders’ help to end Indian bloodshed in Kashmir

While referring to Pakistan’s tension with India, Keqiang said that the former was itself a victim of terrorism and hoped that the rift between the two neighbouring countries did not escalate further.

PM Nawaz welcomed the China’s statements against the Indian brutalities in the occupied Kashmir valley, saying Pakistan is committed for a peaceful region and against all forms, manifestation of terrorism.

Terming the two countries as ‘iron-brothers’, Premier Nawaz said that now Pak-China relations have taken a new turn while also thanking the Chinese prime minister for understanding Pakistan stance in Nuclear Suppliers Group.

Our friendship with Pakistan is unbreakable: Chinese Premier Li Keqiang
Sep 22, 2016

  1. We support Pakistan and we will speak for Pakistan at every forum, said Chinese Premier Li Keqiang
  2. Willing to strengthen coordination with Pakistan on global and regional affairs, Li added
  3. Li chose not to mention the issue of Kashmir or the Uri attack during his meeting with Sharif
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif
NEW YORK: References to Kashmir and tensions arising out of Uri terror attack were conspicuously absent in Chinese official media coverage of the meeting between China Premier Li Keqiang and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharifhere.

As all-weather strategic partners of cooperation, China and Pakistan have always firmly supported each other and their friendship is unbreakable, state-run Xinhua news agency quoted Li as saying while meeting Sharif on the sidelines ofUN General Assembly session.

China stands ready to deepen all-round practical cooperation with Pakistan and is willing to make joint efforts with Islamabad in injecting new impetus into the development of bilateral relations, Li said.

While noting that practical cooperation focussing on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has made positive progress, Li urged the two sides to carry out the planned construction of the corridor, accelerate the building of theGwadar Port as well as its supporting facility, and bring more companies into industrial parks, the report said.

China is willing to maintain close high-level contacts and continue to strengthen coordination with Pakistan on global and regional affairs, Li said.

However, contrary to reports in Pakistan media, there were no references to Kashmir situation or Uri attack in Xinhua's story on Li-Sharif meeting.

A report in Pakistani daily Dawn had said "Li had assured that China would continue to support Pakistan's stance on Kashmir".

The Dawn report quoted Li as telling Sharif that: "We support Pakistan and we will speak for Pakistan at every forum."

China attached great importance to Pakistan's position on Kashmir and said "Pakistan itself was a victim of terrorism", it said.

The Chinese premier hoped that there would be better understanding of Pakistani position on Kashmir by the international community, the report had quoted Li as saying.

Sharif showed his satisfaction on the state of Pak-China relations and welcomed the statement of China on the 'atrocities' being committed in Kashmir, the report had said.

Li expressed the hope that situation between India and Pakistan would not escalate.

He said China was ready to play constructive role in improvement of relations between Pakistan and India.

Xinhua quoted Sharif as telling Li that Pakistan and China are time-tested friends and partners who have firmly supported each other.

As their relations develop very smoothly, bilateral cooperation in a variety of fields has also entered a new phase. The Pakistani side cherishes friendship with China, and is committed to promoting bilateral cooperation, Sharif was quoted as saying.

Did he say anything on Indian Brutality, any statement similar to OIC for implemetation of UNSC resolution or in support of International community's interference in the matter? They really attach great importance to Islamabad position but have no position themselves.

BEIJING: China on Thursday distanced itself from Pakistani media reports which claimed that Premier Li Keqianghad conveyed China's backing to Pakistan on the Kashmir issue during his meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

"Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council met with Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on September 21 in New York. They exchanged views on bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues of common interest," Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lu Kang said when asked about reports that Li extended support to Pakistan's stance on Kashmir.

"The issue of Kashmir is an issue left over from history. Our stance on that is consistent. We hope that parties concerned will pursue a peaceful settlement through dialogue," Lu said when asked about the Pakistani media reports.

Pakistan's Dawn News reported that China endorses Pakistan's stance on Kashmir and Li had assured that China would continue to support Pakistan's stance on Kashmir.

Li, while meeting Prime Minister Sharif on the sidelines of UN General Assembly, was quoted by the daily as saying, "We support Pakistan and we will speak for Pakistan at every forum."

Similar reports were carried by other Pakistani media like Geo TV claiming China's backing as Sharif made unsuccessful attempts to shore up support for Pakistan's rhetoric on Kashmir.

China also voiced concerns over the rising tensions in Kashmir after Uri attack and sought "effective" measures from New Delhi and Islamabad to ensure the safety of foreigners, including the Chinese, working on the USD 46 billion China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Asked whether China is concerned about safety of hundreds of its personnel working on CPEC amid reports that Pakistan has cancelled flights to areas in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) due to "air space restrictions" in the wake of Uri terrorist attack, Lu said, "the Chinese side is concerned about the tension in Kashmir".

"We hope that parties concerned will exercise restraint, peacefully resolve difference through dialogue, avoid escalating tension and work jointly for peace and stability of the region," he said.

About the concerns of safety of Chinese workers, Lu said, "We also hope that effective means will be taken by parties concerned to ensure the safety and normal life of local people and citizens from other countries including China".

Lu's comments came in the backdrop of a sense of disquiet here over Pakistan escalating tensions in Kashmir as Beijing faces a complex situation over CPEC -- one of its biggest overseas projects. India has lodged repeated protests over the project which passes through PoK.

This ISI Terrorist @Neo is working full time to spreads FAKE news. When he gets EXPOSED on DFI he runs away like his Gen Niazi who surrendered his ass to Indians.

China is silent on Kashmir and didn't release those statements that they stand with Pakistan.Even in UN they have been rebuked and told to contain TERRORISM even by Afganistan and Ban Ki Moon. This is also another example how Pakis are FAKING NEWS!!! First make a FAKE news and then spread like a wild fire and then let users check it out on various resources or until the REAL NEWS comes out.

Also I heard that China has decreased investment in Pakistan due to Security concerns specially in PoK and Balochistan. There is a reason 2 Pakis are protecting 1 Chinese ie about 15,000 for 7000 odd. Even then we hear Chinese killed in Pakistan.

btw today's TimesNow NewsHour was one of the best.... please check the recordings.Pakis were slapped hard by Baloch Freedom Fighters.

China Supports Dialogue Between India-Pak, But Backs Our Stand on J&K: Sharif

Updated: May 13, 2017, 6:35 PM IST

Beijing: China supports dialogue between Pakistan and India as the "most viable solution" to the Kashmir issue, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Saturday.

Sharif met his Chinese counterpart, Le Keqiang, and told the media that as far as the issue of Kashmir goes, China has always been supportive of Pakistan's stance. "China has assured to continue extending the same cooperation in future as well," PTI quoted Sharif as saying.

Pakistan's state-run APP news agency quoted Sharif as saying that both Pakistan and China favoured negotiations with India as the "most viable solution" to the Kashmir dispute.

His comments followed recent clarification by China over India's objections to the China-Pakistan Economic (CPEC) Corridor which passes through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang had told PTI on May 3 that China's position on the issue ofKashmir remains clear and consistent.

"It is an issue left over from history between India and Pakistan, and shall be properly addressed by India and Pakistan through consultation and negotiation," he said.

"The building of the CPEC does not affect China's position on this issue," he said.

In his address to the United Services Institution in New Delhi on May 5, Chinese Ambassador Luo Zhaohui had said China has taken care to India's stand that it should be resolved bilaterally in line with the Shimla Agreement.

"We supported the relevant UN resolutions before 1990s. Then we supported a settlement through bilateral negotiation in line with the Shimla Agreement. This is an example of China taking care of India's concern," Luo had said.

For its part, Pakistan has been questioning India's stance and calling for "multilateral approach" saying that the bilateral approach has failed.

Sharif is in China to attend the two-day Belt and Road Forum starting from tomorrow.

In his interaction with the media, Sharif said the scope of CPEC had immensely increased with the Chinese investment swelling from USD 46 to USD 56 billion. He said such a huge investment was unprecedented in Pakistan's history, having objectives of progress and prosperity of the people.

He mentioned that Chinese companies were investing in Pakistans powerand infrastructure sectors at a massive scale, which had generated exemplary employment opportunities for the local people.

Sharif said the economic activity as a result of heavy Chinese investment had resulted in a positive impact on the lives of the common people in Pakistan.

He said his visit to China was significant in relevance with the economic conditions of Pakistan, adding "Pakistan was proud of its friendship with China."

He said economic development in Balochistan province, where China is building Gwadar port, was getting good results and several projects under CPEC were being completed at a fast pace. The 3000-km CEPC connects Gwadar with China's Xinjiang province.

The relationship between a ****** and his massa is that a ****** is grateful when his massa gives him bones to chew on. Your CPEC is nothing but a loan which will be eventually have to be paid by Pakistan. When the ****** stops being grateful he gets a whipping.

Congrats on being recolonized by China. In future Ambani will buy your telecom for jio as well.
