Raj Sir, has been posting about it for some time, Chinese Ngari Space tracking station has laser, which has caused at least two of our satellites to malfunction.

This is a defence forum. People are supposed to discuss defence related matters that Concern India including conspiracy theories. This is the place were we advance our knowledge by going beyond the News and what paid media and propagandists forums rant and troll to eulogies China and others.

If you have anything pandentic to deny such possibility then put it on. Your lame sarcasm adds no value otherwise.

Indian space assets should be made receptive to record any such inference by high intensity Laser beams and rely back these interference from protected channels.

Last satellite of military use losing Radio contact looks quite fishy to me.

Though more sensors and protected equipments means more weight therefore its is imperative to increase our lift capabilities.

Last but not least if this theory has any plausibility then one can not rule out the possibility of our Space program being compromised at certain level as they probably know what kind of sensors are on board especially those who are meant to protect them.

Could they be just laser range finders? The lasers seem too small to cause any damage to an asset high above in outer space. Also does any one know was satellite above tibet/china when malfunction occurred? doubt that!

Last ISRO report told that satellite went into safe mode due to external interference. Now it could be space debris, solar flare or excessive vibration during launch might have some interference . Let ISRO debug.

If someone's does get info about the lasers ( either the Chinese ones or similar ones being used by other countries) it can clear up the air. What's the use of hysteria. There are so many electro optical devices used in studies which common peope don't even know.

We ourselves have a good array of satellite tracking stations spread across world. Even NASA tracks space debris as small as one meter leave alone satellites for safe travel. Multiple apps are there on google play which show real-time satellite location ( went for stargazing once and they used apps to show Satellites passing thru)

there must be a way for us to record any interference with the satellite. perhaps we ought to record and present such evidence.

we can insert and have recorded and also material (change of surface etc) proof if such occurs even use of reflectors (read somewhere we have the tech we use it on our jets) - perhaps even design the satellite with such measures in place. that is a costly and expensive loss.

perhaps we ought to also have a larger number of launches in place even to launch two satellites together (in twins for same purpose - and if both malfunction ...) that way it brings the control more towards launch parameters that can be tracked and documented. i would like us to see launching two rockets with two similar payloads at same and similar time. we have to get away from one is enough attitude. ideally we have to think in numbers and larger payloads now.

The OP himself has shown his doubts and asked to wait as he looks for more information.

When something is working for you and is precious then there is no harm to be extra vigilant about it.

Call me alarmist or cynical but ISRO being a precious asset and our military Satellite program in infancy especially the heavier satellites these discussions not only help us understanding new challenges but also their counter.

LOL....[Mod Warning:Mind your language Chinese guest] as I always said, there must be something wrong with indian education system and pathetic Persecution Mania here and there...

that's ground station and part of Quantum Experiments at Space Scale project (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_Experiments_at_Space_Scale)

Don't bother yourself with indian education standard , it is much better than CCP crap .

Unlike you we don't wallow in self made concocted lies and bullshit

As for the topic in hand I personally don't buy the theory that Chinese disabled the Satellites because if it turns out to be true it would be a self goal, as it would prompt the indians to go for offensive assets in a tit for tat retaliation. But it is also possible that the concerned systems are of dual use nature, as such systems will never be declared.if it is so the responsibility of finding the truth lies with the concerned indian agencies.

In a democracy things work differently which you guys are not aware, in order to kick the government into action sometimes it is necessary to create hysteria.

Security states like China have no problem because they are already paranoid.
