Incorrect. MF-STAR just like most AESA is a scalable version with RMA modules. The frigate version mounted on Indian ships is 3x3 meter and 4 ton weight while the corvette version is significantly smaller (and lighter) at 1x2 meter diameter.

Comparing the area of each flat plate, SPY-6 radar will have 37 RMA Modules on each plate on DDG 51 which is approximately 13 sq meter compared to 9 sq meter for MF-STAR. Each plate contains 144 T/R Modules per RMA hence 5,328 T/R Modules per Face.

Now comparing that to 3500 or so T/R modules on Type 346, it is clear that Type 346 is not as big as SPY-6. It also means that MF-STAR being only 4 sq meter smaller than SPY-6, isn’t too small either.

Also, MF-STAR and Type 346 both are closer in size than you claim. Coming to backend and software capabilities, one can only guess what is truth and what is CCP propaganda.

But I will advise you one thing, I would not mess with Indian navy in Indian Ocean despite what your nut-job CCP masters tell you. Or should I say please go ahead and try that.

One thing that CCP and it’s evil regime has is its massive industrial production capacity. West and it’s allies need to coalesce together to challenge that.
1) The Type 346A/B panels are at least 16 square (4x4) meters to the 9 (3x3) on the MFSTAR (and whatever the Israelis sell you will be a little less than what they'll probably keep for themselves,

2) Chinese destroyers are armed and sensored against top tier industrialized powers in its region like the US, Korea and Japan,

3) Indian destroyers are armed and sensored against basically Pakistan and Bangladesh so that is why it is okay to have no UVLS, just 32 MRSAMs and a corvette radar set.

The two will never meet. There is no reason Indians to bring up the Calcutta class in thus thread :)

In that case explain the low number of T/R module of 3400 that YOU (or one of your commie troll) claimed type 346 has. Because at 16 sq meters it is larger than SPY-6(V) which has 5,328 modules in only 13 sq meters. Why so few T/R modules?

Yet fail miserably in performance.

Never think enemy knows less than you and is not prepared for you. Your Chinese Weasel mentality will bite y’all in butt.

Not me, the Type 115 Radar back in 1992 had 4768 per face. No one knows how many the Type 346A/B has today. And China has advanced a lot more since the 1990s :)

Nope, the fact that China is building 25 of the 052Ds is proof they perform very well. Again, if they suck, China will continue building two of each variant until they are satisfied. Track record has shown they do this. Again:
2 Type 052
2 Type 052B
6 Type 052C
25 Type 052D

They operate prominently in a region with Arleigh Burkes, Sejongs, Atagos and Mayas. They need to have a large base mounted AESA and UVLS with multi-layered long, medium, short SAMs plus point defense for a total of 88 missiles.

India has only to worry about corvettes from Pakistan and Bangladesh which makes it okay for the Calcutta to have a single layer SAM configuration and a small imported radar set that had only been on an Israeli corvette (and because it is exported, will have a good possibility of it being a lower grade version -- monkey version -- of the one the Israelis keep for themselves.)

Because China's rivals are the US, Japan and Korea, it will be very hard for her to underestimate anyone :)

Chinese Communist Party (CCP) bots keep hiding the fact that their technology is far behind the west with idiotic excuses, and just blindly keep repeating CCP propaganda brochures, but that is all CCP propaganda bots are capable of doing, since they don't actually know or understand anything.

The reality is that in case of a war with the west or India, these primitive CCP radars (whose back-end technology and programming is copied from downgraded Russian systems from the 1990s: S-300 and SU-35 level) and missile sensors will be completely outclassed and jammed/disabled by more modern western systems. :)

If CCP radars and missile systems were really so advanced, why did CCP military import the S-400 from Russia which contains 2 decade old Russian technology (severely downgraded for export to China), and then deploy this system near the border with India? If the CCP military were truly confident of their own radars and weapons' abilities, there would have been no reason to purchase or deploy severely downgraded (for export to China) version of S-400 near the Indian border, as CCP military's own systems would have been sufficient. But they are not, are they? :)

But I am glad that CCP and their bots are blindly eating up their own propaganda about their mighty weapons, because if any real war situation arises, these primitive CCP navy ships and systems will be cut down easily by more modern western systems. :)

Why Chinese members want to make DFI Indian fans know more about Chinese destroyers...
Regarding the strength or weakness of the Chinese navy, it is quite clear to the Americans, let alone Indian defense. :hmm:

At present, the first batch of 8 055 Destoryer have been finished of construction , the "Nanchang Ship" (101), "Lhasa Ship" (102), "Dalian Ship" (105), and the No. 4 Ship "Yan'an Ship" (106) have been launched. The ship has been brushed and will be in service in the near future. The next four ships are named "Anshan Ship" (103), "Zunyi Ship" (107), "Wuxi Ship" (104), and "Xianyang Ship" (108). It is estimated that it will be in full service in 2023.

These destroyers will prove to be an easy target for Brahmos missiles in Indian Ocean.

Brother they too have anti ship missiles, far better ones on top of that.
I dont say fear the Chinese but atleast remember what we have .
They have far greater number of destroyers also.
No plan survives initial contact , when soldiers die they can be replaced in a jiffy but when ships sink you cannot replace them in a jiffy

Their better is totally ineffective. But they have numbers to intimidate. Here quality matters not the quantity. Remember Chinese naval adventure in India suffers from main drawbacks:

1. 4000km away from home ports….. Very difficult for poor quality ships to go thru. All their ships are reverse engineered copied stuff.

2. Passing thru Straits of Malacca where Indian Navy is waiting

3. Surveillance from shore mounted Indian systems prevents them from coming closer.

4. Highly sophisticated Indian naval ships including two aircraft carriers, nuclear and diesel submarines waiting to mount an attack And annihilate them

5. The Chinese cannot take much of their navy out of North or South China Sea which will make a way to repossess these seas by Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia etc. A much bigger loss for China.

Hence, everything is stacked up against China for an Indian Ocean adventure.

Hence Chinese misadventure in Indian Ocean is figment of imagination of a few Chinese paid defence writers.

China's import of S400 does not mean that China's missile technology lags behind the West. China is a very pragmatic country. Everyone will buy good products.

In the high-intensity and lasting modern war. Industrial production capacity and the level of scientific and Technological Development dominate everything. Western radar and missiles will not give you security. An industrial product won't make you win the war. Because you are facing a complete industrial system. You can't expect you to rely on an import to compete with an industrial system.

China's aviation industry supports the entire Chinese air force. Not just 30 Su-35. Moreover, Su-35 has never participated in any Chinese military operations. Now patrolling over Taiwan are J-10, J-11, j-16, H-6n bombers, Y-8 anti submarine aircraft...

Although India is still unable to make qualified rifles and bullets. But western radar, missiles, or fighter planes imported by India may be very good (according to Indian friends). But how does India face a high-intensity and lasting modern war?
Because india has 41 ordnance factories to make thousands of weapons , that's why .

I heard that only CAC can produce 60+ j-10c every year. And India makes 6 LCA tejas every year
No you’re wrong, Ching Chong Aerospace can manyuphakchur 3000 fighter jets of ola in a year, we eńdians can only produce 0.0006 LCA Tejas in a year, hence Chinki superiority established.

I’m jealous :crying:
