CCP is playing with something they don't have again, :)
Powered by P&W PT6C-67C FADEC digital controlled turboshaft 1,500hp engines. Alot of good it will do you testing a prototype on engines better than what will go on it. I pray they aren't stupid enough to try WZ-8A --- tragic mistake.

Stop pretending you know everything. WZ8A is not for WZ-10 and we have other alternatives. Since Chinese are buying less Russian equipment rational people know the reasons. You don't have to choke everything Chinese here with your bias.

The Chinese are good at using adobe photoshop for all the different versions claimed they have made for various weapons they would have been ahead of USA if it was real.

Did you learn your English in China or on Mars? Can you make it more understandable?

Recent reports about the J-XX have reported that the DSI intakes on the J-10B were incorporated onto the J-10 after development in the J-XX program. I have to say, the J-10B looks a lot more sturdy than its predecessor.

This is the final look of FC-20, except for the engine

China has agreed to sell Pakistan at least 36 advanced fighter jets in a landmark deal worth as much as $1.4bn, according to Pakistani and western officials.

Beijing will supply two squadrons of the J-10 fighter jet in a preliminary agreement that could lead to more sales to Pakistan in the future, said a Pakistani official.
EDITOR’S CHOICE
Analysis: Pakistan needs a new world view - Nov-02

The official said Pakistan might buy “larger numbers” of the multi-role aircraft in the future, but dismissed reports that Pakistan had inked a deal to buy as many as 150 of the fighter jets.

Defence experts described the agreement with China as a landmark event in Pakistan’s defence relationship with the growing military power. China’s transition from a manufacturer of low-fighters to more advanced jets comparable to some western models is seen as evidence of Beijing’s growing strategic clout in Asia.

“This agreement should not simply be seen in the narrow context of Pakistan’s relations with China,” said Abdul Qayyum, a retired Pakistani general.

“There is a wider dimension. By sharing its advanced technology with Pakistan, China is ... also saying to the world that its defence capability is growing rapidly.”

China has supplied Pakistan with fighter jets for more than three decades. But Beijing has seldom supplied Pakistan’s air force with advanced fighter aircraft. Islamabad turned to France for Mirage fighter jets in the 1970s and to the US for F-16s in the 1980s.

Pakistan has a fleet of 45 F-16s, which are built by Lockheed Martin. The Pakistani air force is using the fighter jet in its campaign against militants in South Waziristan. The US has agreed to sell Islamabad another 18 new F-16s and about a dozen older versions of the aircraft.

Over the past decade, China and Pakistan have collaborated on building their first jointly produced advanced fighter jet, known as the JF-17, or “Thunder”. Pakistan is expected to roll out the first domestically built version of the Thunder within weeks.

Pakistan’s air force plans to purchase at least 250 of the Thunder fighters over the next four to five years. Experts see the new Pakistani focus on China as a supplier of advanced fighters as evidence that Beijing is trying to expand its military power.

“Countries like Iran and possibly some of the Middle Eastern countries would be keen to deal with China if they can find technology which is comparable to the west,” said one western official in Islamabad.

“Pakistan will work as the laboratory to try out Chinese aircraft. If they work well with the Pakistani air force, others will follow.”

CD, China's biggest military forum, had a historical 4000+ posts on airforce topic yesterday.
The reasons: 1. A senior airforce general said in a CCTV interview that the J-xx is set to fly in the coming 1-2 years and will be deployed within 8-10 years.
2. Several days ealier, CCTV reported that the new cargo plane will be over 200T, and will be showed at the end of this year(December) or the beginning of next year.
3. China and Pakistan reached the agreement about selling J-10B/FC-20 to Pakistan, which is a strong indicator to support reason 1.

Lets be honest, he said "很快就进行试飞。" which means soon --- not a specific time frame. In Chinese terms, soon means far longer than a couple years.

China can't sell J-10 to Pakistan without Russian approval and the order of 100 AL-31FM engines this year makes that issue void.

Vlad, we know the prototype is being built. How long does it normally take to construct a prototype? Chinese may approach Russia for a better test engine than WS-10A and then you would know.

We know the AL-31Fs are not possible to re-export to PAK. Are you saying these 100 AL-31FM1 order rejected?

It takes 3-4 years to build a prototype depending on complexity and concept errors. China will not be getting a better test engine in fear of China copying it. WS-10 cloning of AL-31 killed that possibility.

J-10 export is a bit better than the FC-1 junk currently being exported to Pakistan that PLAAF won't even fly. I don't think India would be happy with it which would make it against our interest. With MMRCA hanging in the balance, I doubt we will be clearing it. The lone article reporting J-10 export to Pak is Chinese pipedreams before looking at political reality. They did the same thing before they got Russian approval for RD-93 and it was some years before they actually got the go ahead.

So far you have not shown any other information or even a formal claim of Saturn official than your rhetoric.

FC-1 was all PAF asked for and CAC needed money. The project was clearly an export project for PAF. You Russians knew this from the beginning because it's in the original contract for re-export. Pakistan was not specifically excluded. It's shameful that you guys blame China on this. It's an actually good deal for RD-93 sales. Must be 500-1000 needed in 10 years.

Saturn doesn't get to make statements about it, the official agency is Rosboronexport and they have said it was a clone of which I have posted the links before.

Russia thought PLAAF was going to be inducting them into their forces as well as export. We got shafted when it turned out it was only for export.

Despite previous reports suggesting that the FC-1 would also be equipped by the PLAAF, no order has been reported so far.

We blame China because they are guilty of constant deception and IP theft.

Don't worry. New prototype of FC-1 is brought to Beijing. PLAAF might induct a few to replace some of the Q-5s.

What exact IP rights do you have and China violated? It's only until this year did Russia have some AK-47 patents registered in China. For other reverse engineered copies made with or even without a blueprint it only tells the low level of Chinese engineers. But time and things are changing. Russia is still in good position to sell technological products including defence equipments.

I was quoting the Chinese Air Force deputy commander from the CCTV interview, I don't know who you are talking about.

Who says that it won't? China did order 100 more AL-31FM turbofans this year which will be plenty to fill an order for 36 exports. If China didn't need them, why would they spend $500 million to order more??

Every other time you respond to me you are getting your posts edited. It would be wise to calm down and base your arguments on a rational approach rather than blind patriotism.

Sure, they said that five years ago and we are still waiting.

What exact IP rights do you have and China violated?
75% of Chinese military equipment.

It's only until this year did Russia have some AK-47 patents registered in China.
They finally relented on something, only because they want our energy.

For other reverse engineered copies made with or even without a blueprint it only tells the low level of Chinese engineers. But time and things are changing. Russia is still in good position to sell technological products including defence equipments.
Most of the Chinese military are Soviet clones, the rest are clones of the West. China is behind because they are copying obsolete systems and or it takes them so long to clone something new, it becomes obsolete by the time they are successful. It is that lack of innovation that will always keep China behind.

the firstly test flight of CHinese J15(navy J11B) finished on Augus 30th,2009

well, a guy revealed that J15( the navy variant of J11B) finished its first test flight on August 30th,2009. here is my digestion.

what the guy revealed is consistent with another leak two months ago

http://www.defenceforum.in/forum/chinese-defence-forum/5771-prototype-navy-version-j11-roll-out.html

J15( the navy variant of J11B) finished its first test flight on August 30th,2009

01 prototype of J15 was sent to Yanliang aircraft-testing Academe in October,2009.

all test flights of 03 prototype in Shenyang has been finished now.

J15 is just a stopgap for time being.

Chinese future aircraft carrier will be deployed eventually with a light 5G bird.( according to the manner of speaking, it seems that China may develope two 5G birds at the same time now). if the development of CHinese light 5G bird is delayed, J15 will also be the backup

the reliablity of WS10 has been fixed. In 2010, several regiments of J11B will enter into service. J10 will use WS10 soon.

3 years ago, CHina indeed wanted to order several SU33 for "study". But even at that time, China never wanted to order "50 Su33". It is very odd that Russian did not revealed it 3 years ago, but reveals it now when J15 has been finished.

Chinese big military transporter was planned to be shown at the end of 2009.but because the boss of its manufacturer,XAC(Xi'an aircraft Co.),got invovled into a scandle of Rat Trading, the show now is suspended. but its development advances very smoothly.
太行的稳定性也已经解决,明年即将看到好几个团装备J11B(J11B是毛子不提供发动机的,只提供J10用的31FN),J10用太行也为期不远了.

Update on the J-11B Project.

Recently surfaced photos indicate that the WS-10A turbofan engine is now operational with the J-11B heavy fighter.

According to the PLAAF 60th Anniversary Warplane Show, the J-11B conducted its maiden flight on December 2003 and entered service with the 1st PLAAF Fighter Division on December 2007. The initial batch of the J-11B was powered by the imported Russian AL-31F turbofans engine instead of the delayed WS-10A.

In addition to the engine, the J-11B differs from the J-11A in other areas; it features a new quadruple-redundant digital fly-by-wire flight system with mechanical backup, a new multimode pulse Doppler radar for indigenous armaments against land/sea/air targets, and a new cost of composite material to reduce weight. It's redesigned cockpit is equipped with a new set of instruments ranging from a holographic HUD, four LCD MDFs, to a new missile warning system.
