After waiting 30 years for ws-10, what's a few more years for an AESA.
yes, another 30 years!.hahahahahah=xD

Watching reactions of guys like you to CHina's military developements in the forum is more interesting than reading indians' comments on CHina on Rediff...hahahah....

Janes and Kanwa always are parrots who copy the old posts of CD,which are proved by the reports of J10,J10B, J11B and J15 .
Jane's wouldn't waste their time with a junk site like CD. Unless they want to learn about the art of bull crap.

For example.
In Oct, 2009, CD leaked that J15 prototype started its first test flight and CHina was not interesed to buy Russia's Su33 at all. but at that time, Kanwa and many guys here like Mr. Armand still happily and excitedly mocked how frustrated CHina was ,for Russia rejection to sell Su33 to China!!=xD
I have no idea what Kanwa does, but I didn't join this site until December so it is rather hard for me to have been arguing in October. It was the Russians who reported Chinese frustration over acquisition of Su-33. I think they would know better what China approaches them about.

CD has leaked PLA hold a commendation meeting for Chinese scientist who finished CHina's AESA in 2008.
As usual, Jane and Kanwa will simply copy the leak and post it as "their own headline news" half a year later. hahaha.=xD
No one here cares what CD has leaked... it is mid 2010 and no serious defence source has said China has AESA. So it is two years and no copying occured. More evidence your conspiracy theories are not based in reality just like your precious CD and the 50 cent Army that inhabits it. hahaha =xD

You can't even build a working turbofan based on 35 year old technology. Your avionics are so bad Pakistan doesn't even want them. Neither does your puppet regime in Burma. If you can't sell your avionics to your closest allies, you know they are crap.

Western experts that observed it at the open house didn't think it so impressive... of the "3rd generation."

What he meant to say was that your J-10 looked too impressive for a 3rd generation plane .
I said what I meant. Not too impressive for the 3rd gen, it was "3rd generation" and "a generation behind Western Europe." One observer went so far as to say how shitty the landing gear was.

Clearly China wants to build aircraft carriers and they will try, it remains to be seen whether they will be successful. They still can't make a decent military grade powerplant. Even their latest DDGs run on Ukrainian engines. Ukraine stopped making high-performance gas turbines for aviation cruisers 25 years ago. The Varyag didn't come with engines so they have nothing to copy. It will pose a real problem in their carrier development.

do we have that capability to make high-performance gas turbines or we need to import it ?

India is importing them from Italy for the ADS. Shivalik run on French Pielstick diesels as well as Chinese Type 054 FFGs.

China has no problem coping or stealing anything it needs..............So, to rule them out would be unwise.

Even Chinese Type 071 LPD runs on French Pielstick diesels. They do not know how to make large naval engines. All France has to do is pull the plug and their ships will be going nowhere.

Won't happen! France is actually going in the opposite direction by actively lobbying the EU to lift arms embargo on China. France values China so high these days that they even have refused to maintain the weapons they sold to Taiwan a while ago.

Also note the engines were built under license in China, not directly imported.

China And The Indian Ocean Carrier Fleet
January 7, 2010: There's a major feud going on in the Chinese Navy. On one side, you have admirals who want to put most construction effort into nuclear submarines (both SSN attack boats, and SSBNs carrying ballistic missiles) and new surface ships. This is for a strategic fleet. The SSNs and surface ships would be for keeping hostile fleets away from China, while the SSBNs can put the fear of China into the United States, as there are currently no Chinese ballistic missiles that can hit all of the United States.

The other group of admirals, who appear to be getting their way, want to build aircraft carriers. These would be used to control distant waters, like the long sea routes that bring China raw materials (especially oil) and allow exports to reach world markets. The most critical route passes through the Indian Ocean, on the way to the Persian Gulf and Africa. China and India have not always been on the best of terms, and a fleet of carriers is seen as the only way of confronting India with something short of nuclear weapons. In the long term, this carrier fleet could eventually challenge that of the United States.

The United States prefers the Chinese carrier strategy, as it takes a long time to build carriers and train the ship and air crews to a useful level of competency. By building carriers, China will spend less money on building more and better submarines. That suits the United States just fine.

China isn't looking for a war with anyone, especially the United States. What keeps the Chinese people happy right now is a thriving economy. That requires good relations with the United States, but not a whole lot from India. But since so much of Chinas seaborne trade goes through India's back yard, something much be done to ensure the security of that route.
