Then who owns Tencent?

And why is it is China's Tencent?

Tencents Homepage states:

It is said that Jason Zeng (曾李青), is the largest shareholder.

In May 2001, Naspers acquired a 46.5% interest in Tencent Holdings Limited.
Tencent's a privately owned internet company. I interned for a Chinese bank that did their financing.

On June 16, 2004, Tencent Holdings Limited (SEHK 700) went public on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Ma Huateng or Pony Ma is still the Chairman?

This name Ma means he is a Hui?

No issues with you and your name or what China decides to do.

Only issue is that fror Money China will sell her soul!

All the Patriotic Nationalism and hoohah is sold to the altar of MONEY!

Your post is am example of failure to justify a sausage and cover up selling your Soul for Money!
lets see who is selling her soul for money......

1 has prc joined the british commenwealth??? for what??celebration of queens birthday???or some money yearly to beg??how much a year the uk pays for you for becoming a member of great commenwealth???

2 what about your politicians??Modi's visit to China creates a buzz - Rediff.com Business

even modi came to prc to ask for chinese investments......apart from money alone what else do you think the chinese would like to invest in india??? to invest some thoughts here persuading indians to not join commenwealth???? if you indians hate money that much and dont want your souls sold please just ask mr modi not to bother us chinese......

1 the Naspers is just a big share holder and the reason they still have more than 30% share is because they bought their shares from different companies that used to have share of tencent like Li Ka-shing(the 9th richest person accodring to Forbes list of billionaires)'s son's company PCCW....a private owned chinese company is legal to have foregn investors or share holders at any percentage......even state owned ones like PetroChina used to have share holders like Warren Buffett....laws and regulations allow that.....

2 if pakistanis bought 40% of TATAs share could i say TATA not indian???

3 till now tencents business is obviously prc oriented but with time i think they will focus more on different markets.....more overseas investors buying its share is expected.......

You miss the point.

Without money the wheels of the economy does not move.

Yet. it should not be the be all and end all of all things of life.

Greed is a foul thing!

As regards your other issue, I find that you are eminently ignorant.

And it is waste of time, re-inventing the wheel for you every time.

Understand what is the Commonwealth!

As far as the TATA analogy that you have stated, it might interest you that Jaguar is now an Indian owned company located in GB.
Likewise Arcelor, which is now Indian owned and is known as Arcelor Mittal!

i think going greedy is sometimes inevitable.....

India is getting increasingly corrupt, greedy: Sonia - Indian Express
Greed of modern Indian women
Greedy breed of Indian political leaders - Moneylife
Greed. Not a deadly sin, merely a fallen angel - Times Of India
Kamat's Potpourri: Of Beggars and Begging

i dont have problems with indians being greedy or embracing british commonwealth as well.....i do know what is commonwealth by the way......

Mittal is the richest man of Asian descent.

Despite being the wealthiest man in Britain, he does not hold British citizenship

Wiki

Why do you still hold an Indian passport?

I love my country and I'm Indian.

Is it some kind of an umbilical cord you have with India, this passport?

No, I feel very happy and proud to have this passport and my allegiance is to India. . .

I am proud to be Indian: L N Mittal

A single swallow does not make a summer.

Media requires issues to keep the pot boiling.

It really matter not what you feel about India because you are immaterial to India!

However, a penny for your thoughts!

Now be good enough and not go OT and tangential.

kindly tell me who went OT first here??

media just says something and its people who keep the pot boiling.......how ever to find anything specificly suits your boiling pot is very easy but to prove what is right and wrong and to reasonably generalize people can be seen as a mission impossible for some posters here.........
