The ocean is full of nutrients to support plankton. Also, algae blooms occur periodically in the ocean (which indicates plenty of nutrients). Thus, the constant sloshing of ocean waves onto saline-alkaline soil should deposit a cumulative build-up of nutrients. This means fertilizer is unnecessary for saline-alkaline land.

There is plenty of silt along China's coastline saline-alkaline land.

Rainwater and rivers move silt and organic material from the land into the sea. The ocean waves wash all of that silt back onto the saline-alkaline land.

If China is successful in the next three years and delivers a salt-resistant strain of rice that yields 300kg of rice per "mu" of saline-alkaline farmland then the whole world benefits.

It's just that I tend to cover new developments in China and I usually leave it in that context. However, China's salt-resistant rice can be planted in saline-alkaline farmland all over the world and there will be plenty of food for everyone.

China won the Nobel Prize in Medicine, because China's artemisinin drug (also known as qinghao su, Chinese: 青蒿素) saved millions of lives from malaria all over the world.

China's salt-resistant rice potentially has the same far-reaching impact. It could save millions of people from hunger.

The reason for that is because Indians have higher IQ than Chinese.

It is well shown at scientific level that Indians have higher IQ and brain size than Chinese once raised in same environment. Or even in worse fluoride/environmental conditions.

Let's see all places on planet where Indians and Chinese are living. There are millions of Indians and Chinese living in shared societies. Like US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Chinese in India, Indians in China, Singapore, etc.

1. USA:-

Note: Sample size is extremely large and is representative of entire 3.45 million Indian American population. And 4 million Chinese American population.

Indians born in USA have the highest genotypic IQ, higher than Jews and East Asians. At 114 IQ (0.92 Standard deviation above whites).

Chinese born in USA have a geno-typic IQ of 110.

2. Rest of Anglo sphere (UK, Australia, Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand)

Indians in Australia score 576 on maths and 566 on reading in PISA.

Indians in New Zealand score 529 reading and 534 on maths in PISA.

Indians in Scotland score 504 reading and 525 on maths in PISA.

As a comparison,

Chinese in Australia score 569 on maths and 541 on reading in PISA.

Chinese in New Zealand score 506 reading and 555 on maths in PISA.

Chinese in Scotland score 498 reading and 555 on maths in PISA.

Chinese in Ireland score 430 reading and 475 on maths in PISA.

Mean scores of Chinese and Indians living in Anglo-sphere:-

So you have consistency of test or IQ scores all over Anglo sphere ranging from UK, USA, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Scotland.

That Indians have same non verbal IQ as East Asians while a higher verbal IQ than East Asians.

3. East Asian societies like Singapore and Hong Kong:-

Indians have been living in Singapore and Hong Kong for generations.

Both places are known to possess smartest Chinese population.

Indians migrated to Singapore as peasants in British empire. And they were bodyguards to white men in Hong Kong.

Indians are the richest ethnic group.

90 percentile for Chinese living in Hong Kong barely earn at par with 75 percentile of Indians in HK.

One can easily conclude that Indians are much smarter than Chinese in Singapore and Hong Kong.

4. Chinese living in India:-

Chinese and Tibetans are living in India in significant numbers. As per the scientific norms, Chinese and Tibetans born in India should have lower IQ than Indian natives. It's actually true and can be inferred from their status in India.

So, it is quite clear that Indians thrive in China and Singapore and outperform locals. While Chinese (Cantonese and Tibetans) struggle in India and under-perform locals. And is constant with the fact that low IQ races struggle in high IQ society and high IQ races thrive in low IQ societies.

IQ test results on India and China:-

IQ has shown to vary with fluoride contamination, iodine deficiency, mal-nourishment, etc. in both nations.

First of all, both India and China and any major world region (South America, Europe, mid-East, India and China) with population as big as 1 billion, will exhibit full variation on average IQ. That is average IQ will vary from 75–115 in both India and China.

Lets compare IQ of India with China. I will compare IQ of 8 Indian states (high scoring and lowest scoring ones) with 8 Chinese states (highest scoring and medium scoring). I will only compare villages in China and India as IQ data on Indian cities is not available:-

Average IQ is higher in UP, Gujarat and West Bengal v/s other Indian states. So, these are high scoring Indian states.

The lowest scoring Indian states are: Of course the states bordering China where Tibetans live.

But among Indian states, the absolute lowest scoring states are: Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Delhi, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.

As IQ samples on Bihar don’t exist, I will leave it for comparison.

Let’s compare with low scoring states of China:- Inner Mongolia, Hunan, Guizhou and Shandong.

Rajasthan vs Shandong rural:-

Average IQ in Rajasthan is 93.31 with 1 ppm fluoride. And 85 with 6 ppm fluoride.
