J9 is a double-engine heavy bird. its R&D started in 1960s,but aborted in early 1980s.

J9 aeroframe is quite like J10 and also has carnards.

In fact, J9 ,instead of Lavi, is the earliest "protomech" of J10

The J 9 looks more tlike the Phantom F4 to me than the J 10. The J 10 resembles the Lavi...no doubt.

....why do you think J9 looks more like Phatom?

frankly speaking, J9 has nothing like F4.

sorry bad guy...but those huge box inlets fooled me....but i am damn sure it dosent reseble the J 10 other than the delta and the canards.

J-9 cannords give me idea of Mig-31 with J-10 wings.

This is more of Foxhound and 1.42.
Badguy btw now dont tell EF is a copied from J-9. EF is a Delta wing canard AC. Chinese struggles to couple both the techs of canard and delta wing but failed because of lack of expertise in the AC designing.
