It is touring the South China Sea again. The two Chinese carriers are constantly out at sea.

People in this forum said the land docks are damaged?
LOL. Funny thing is Shandong and Liaoning very well documented for being constantly in deployment!

Externally, the Shandong and Liaoning is very similar. Internally, they are different as Shandong was built from the ground up in China.

It has a different more optimized ramp angle, newer AESA radar and more hangar space anong many other things.

Compare the layout of the pipes and fittings in the ceiling:

The real advantage of carriers is the ability to host a large number of ultra modern fighters and be the control centers of naval warfare. India leads in the category of modular aircrafts where configurations can be changed quickly and weapons of different countries integrated with zero software glitch. This capability is something the PLAN can never attain. In fact India is the only country that has successfully modularized aircraft. India’s aircrafts can carry a Brahmos NG , israeli glide bombs and a French meteor at the same time. The ability of the aircrafts software systems to service different origin armaments is a huge plus as during war time, there is no issue with a single source of supply. This feat is so impressive that RuAF is moving to modularizing its aircrafts as well. Kinzhal’s integration with Sukhois is a direct outcome of this.
Unless the CCP Navy gets its aircraft and armaments strategy right, carriers alone are just the same as large container ships. In any case we can talk about CCP carriers when they venture beyond the SCS. Until then they are just toys.

But first tell me which type of aircraft the Indian carrier has chosen?
