Now I can't say... You and some said 37 mm, whereas Cao and one PLAN officer still saying rail gun...
By the way 37 mm gun is smaller than the image appears. Bigger barrel hence my confusion

100 mm twin gun

37 mm twin anti aircraft

And now the image claimed to be rail gun, brrel is much bigger so is turret shape

Power generators too were spotted....why they will be for 37 mm?
Besides, if it even not rail gun, it seems not just 37 mm gun
Now please explain these two just

Best quality pic of Chinese rail gun (if it is really rail gun)
Observations:
1. That's a big ass turret. Notice the access hatches on the sides. Those are man sized, if I'm not mistaken.
2. Note the cladding on the barrel and what looks like hydraulic shocks? cushioning the barrel.
3. This could well be a Rail gun. Or could be a Chinese experiment to create boosted Long Range Guns? One of these two. This is not a standard naval gun.

Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co. Ltd, April 2018.

At least 8 destroyers in same photo.

Three Type 052Ds were under sea trial and were about to enter commissions. Two more were under construction in the dock.

Two Type 055 were under construction and were about to be launched.

And there's one more new ship under construction which type was still hard to recognize, maybe the Type 055 #3 in DSIC.

Home made battle ships at Dalian are not battle worthy. Chinese crews are afraid of the deep sea. Also 4,000 km away from home port makes them easy to sink.

Good to intimidate the South China Sea nations. Useless for a distant fight.

Come again whose technology has been copied here......

Aye bro but this should not give us an idea that we can take it easy.
Shipbuilding companies like Green reach, Mazagon, Kochi Shipyard should go full throttel with government help.

055#1,#2 ,052d#4,5 for dalian (see quoted picture) are in water now for fitment.
Now drydock left column is 2 055(overall #6,7/ dalian #3,4) and right column is 2 052d(overall #23,25 / dalian #6,7)
Jiangnan has already launched its 3rd(overall #5) 055.
Crazy to think only handful countries have more destroyers in entire navy than this one shipyard for China.

Yes, Chinese naval yards are turning ships of the same kind like copies. That swells the numbers. If there is something wrong in the design as these are copied designs, the whole number becomes a liability. It is happening in their aircraft carriers. These go out hugging the coast. The copied design was the Russian A/c which was mindlessly copied into others. The first one gives itself away by its noise and black smoke. The others made based on its design are having the same problems. Hence Chinese numbers are good for intimidation purposes. These are yet to fight a battle in the blue sea.

Elaborate naval engagements amongst peer adversaries has actually never taken place since WW2.
So going by that measure, no navy ship will be deemed battle 'worthy'. Even the US arleigh burke class has just seen enough 'action' to fire tomahawks at isis locations 100s of miles out.

PLAN may not be a serious threat right now ,but post 2030 we are in for a big scare. The period of 2035-2050 is especially critical.China intends to match usn by 2035 and surpass it and become the global naval superpower by 2050.
