Delhi and Beijing are not the old capitals of India and China. They are located in the northern areas of India and China. After Mughals conquered India, they made Delhi the capital of India because they came from the north. After Mongols conquered China, they made Beijing the capital of China because they came from the north. The old capital of China is Luoyang at 34 north. Does anyone here know where is the old capital of India?

What about Wakanda, what are your views on same I concur they got lucky with vibranium but still to develop the spaceships and energy shields able to take down an astroid.
They sit much below 30 degree latitude,
I bet wakanda wins 10 out of 10 times against china..
And Atlantis hnnn what abt them they dont even has sunlight ..
Atlantis is in the Greece Aegean area. It sunk below water 10,000 BC when Ice Age ended and sea level rose. Wakanda is make belief.

China has excellent geography. China is mainly in the 30s latitude. The old capital Luoyang is at 34 N. Beijing is at 39 N. Also, China has Yellow river. India has Ganges river but like Mexico India is mainly in the 20s latitude which means too little seasonal variation and too much sunlight to develop into a Tier 1 power like China. It is unlikely India can challenge China.
Nonsense conclusions……. Only a Chinese person can draw such a conclusions.

Warm and sunlight and rains in Indian geography help grow multiple crops. Cold climate does not favour multiple cropping etc.

If (any of) you have seen both countries India and China extensively, u won't think that's an India v. China competition.

Seriously they're not in the same league at all. The crux of animosities is neither ideological (communist vs. democracy), nor territorial spats that've been overhyped, with (deliberate) self-victimizing.

I'm Chinese but trying to observe as objectively as possible. India is rising, yes, but not as a counterweight to China as in wishful thinking of some posters (indians or non-indians) .

Seeing is believing.
Every rise has fall. Question is how long you hold your rise. Technology and research will give power to nation USA almost rule world barring Russia's resistance after WW2 due to nuclear attack on Japan from which world still has to come out. Similar technology use are mass destruction weapon will create second world power.
China may be power for few more years but where the next jen technology develops will decide the next world power.
Slowly we are moving towards the Islam Vrs non Islam conflict where Russia and China need to mend their ways of supporting terror .

Bullshit argument, bullshit comparison. Though geography does play a role but not how the Chinki mind would think.

China did have and still does have a geographical advantage vis a vis India of having Koria, Japan and Taiwan as neighbours while we have Pakistan, Bangladesh to content with. Obviously westerners moved their technologies and investments to above three and as they got saturated the investments moved to china.

‘Now the Chinese are mindful that one defeat in the Himalayas and all their artificial greatness prestige will be in the dustbin. That is why they are only pinpricking but not ready for a fight.
Chinese build great wall along Himayalas bordering India.

India is the opposite. A thriving economy in a sea of failures. China was a backward economy in a sea of developed economies

Chinese do not consider India a challenge until after 2050 at least.
By 2050 your gdp will contract 20% majority of households will be DINKs with 2 adults supporting 4 grandparents, having to rebuy their properties every 90 years because they aren’t allowed to own their own home. 2050 China will have a shrinking consumer population and oversupply of goods leading to deflation and a bad cycle of unemployment, loss of consumers.

For the time being India cannot challenge China. India just put rover on moon, 10 years after China did. Heck, China already has rover on Mars.

The old capital of India is Pataliputra
1. Pataliputra was the capital of Magda state of Eastern india until Ashoka ruled.

2. Ujjain was the capital during Gupta dynasty of Western India

3. Afghans and Turks ruled northern India from Delhi

4. Lodi Dynasty moved capital to Agra; that is where Moguls, Babur to Shahjahan ruled

5. Later Shahjahan brought the capital back to Delhi, but did not rule from Delhi.

6. Aurangzeb and his successors until Bahadur shah ruled from Delhi; although Aurangzeb stayed at Aurangabad (Maharashtra) for 27 years of his 41 years of rule.

7. The British conquered India but the government operated from Calcutta /Shimla.

8. Finally the British moved the capital from Calcutta to Delhi in 1912. Shimla stayed as summer capital until 1947.

Indians consider China competitive. Chinese do not consider India competitive. Chinese consider Japan competitive. India is too far from China geographically.

Where's the race? Next year they might cross $20 trillion, here $4 trillion would be served as a major achievement.

USA and China are in a race, we aren't. Our competition is ASEAN.
Not to considered great when 35% of your GDP is exported. If you take the exports away then Chinese fall back into regular category like others.

Exports of goods and services (% of GDP) in China was reported at 20.68 % in 2022, according to the World Bank collection of development indicators, compiled from officially recognized sources.
