The Yunnan-Tibet Railway,of which the section in Yunnan province already exists up to Xianggelila(Shangri-La)bordering Tibet, will quickly follow. The line, connecting Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, and Lhasa will also make use of the Lhasa-Linzhi section.

In 6 years, there will be 3 railway lines connecting Tibet to the rest of China.

There remains one more planned route that will link Tibet with Xinjiang.

infrastruction buildups of tibet and rest of the west part of china r crucial...but would that be too much money to build 3 railway lines connecting tibet to the rest of prc??

after all we dont have too many people in tibet....we should focus more on dam buildings etc in tibet to real benifit our people...

Design speed: 200km per hour
Chengdu to Lhasa: within 10 hours(instead of the current 3 days by road and 2 days by train)。
