If this is true then Russia has proven itself no ally of India.
If this is true then what does it tell you about Russian view of J-20 and J-31? Also, we have got a look at Su-57 and rejected it - what does it tell you of Su-57? Do some inductive reasoning man.

Oh ...so j30...31..32.33....34..etc are all flops..in the end. Now they require Russian su57 that the Russian Af has little faith when it comes to Induction. This is all pressure tactics played by Russian firms to obtain some foreign sales. They are worried that India will not opt to buy su57 and will go on with our own 5th gen fighter. The recent offer from Uk to India to jointly develop a 6th gen fighter and the recent joint consortium formed by France and Germany in co development of a 6th gen fighter based on Rafale is making them more nervous. If an order of 114 jets again goes to Rafale, it will be curtains for any third party vendor to get any order for 5th or 6th Gen fighter apart from Dassault.

We already know by Su-35 purchases that the J-20 and J-31 are inferior even to that. The fact that Russia is willing to offer the same level of tech to China as it does to India shows that Russia is just playing one off of the other for their own personal gains. They do not value any strategic partnership with India.

Russia never made any promise to us that they won't sell anything to the Chinese. Still they offered it first to us and we refused. After that if they sell to Chinese or to anyone else is none of our concern. At the end of the day we know they have mercantile interests too. Everybody is grown up here. French are also selling things to the Chinese should we apply your logic to French sales too?

France can sell no military items to China that are not pre-dating Tienanmen licensing agreements. Anything that is pre-1989 is hardly latest tech.

No one is our friend on international level, we are not pakis.

If this is true than we need to collect all the technical details and knowledge of FGFA and make our own aircraft as soon as possible as there's no point in buying one from Russia.

We have paid for this shit with our blood and sweat, must get all the details we need to make our own FGFA.

France sold weapons to 81 countries between 2013 and 2017.

Its largest clients were: Egypt (25% of all sales), China (8.6% of all sales), and India (8.5% of all sales).

A sizable portion of China’s orders from France are also for engines. China has sourced French-built diesel engines, such as the 16PC2.5 and 12PA6, for outfitting its naval vessels. There are also indications that China has acquired French civilian helicopter engines for military use.
As per these articles France continues to be one of the largest arms sellers to China. Now you might say they are only selling engines, or only dual use tech etc. but how can we say for sure what is getting sent in the crates. I don't think China is that foolish to fork over so much money for pre-1989 tech.
