China seizes 8,000 rolls of toilet paper printed with image of Hong Kong chief

Hong Kong Democratic party official says Chinese authorities took away rolls featuring image of Leung Chun-ying

Sit-down protest: rolls of toilet paper and tissue paper printed with images of Leung Chun-ying.

An official of the Hong Kong Democratic party says Chinese authorities have seized about 8,000 rolls of toilet paper printed with the image of the territory's pro-Beijing chief executive, Leung Chun-ying.

Lo Kin-hei, a vice-chairman of the liberal party, said on Saturday that police seized the toilet paper and another 20,000 packages of tissue paper from a factory in the Chinese city of Shenzhen where a friend of the party placed the order to obscure the party as the true buyer.

Lo said no reason was given for the seizure. He said the rolls were to be sold during Chinese New Year celebrations later this month.

The move comes after Beijing clamped down on recent pro-democracy demonstrations in Hong Kong that criticised Leung

A rather odd, though ingenuous way to protest or insult the Leaders.

One wonders if arrests have been made since China is not known to be charitable to dissenters. let alone those who openly insult their leaders.

No, China is laughing her ass off.
If the so called "democratic movement" in HK is powerful as they don't need such kind of "creative" method. Instead they can just make their term in the front of China.

What would Modi do if this happened in India?
what would he do, dont you know Modi as a PM is result of democracy, not a military coup.
by the way we don't use toilet paper, we wash as we all know that washing is more hygienic than wiping.

If people are wiping it with the face of the protester, then why is the CCP so hyper? It is like insulting the protest leader which is good for CCP. These chinese people and their brains!:frusty:

There is freedom to criticize.

Some riots or Bandhs will happen by BJP workers. The news makes head lines and discussions all over including on news channels prime time.

Then people make an opinion on that if printing the image on toilet papers is moral or not. After some time the issue will be closed.

But I doubt any one will print Modis Image since he was voted by majority people to become PM. Hongkong case is different this guy is hated by majority.
