Two sea vessels have delivered the first regimental set of S-400 Triumf long-range anti-aircraft missile systems to China. The missing equipment that had been earlier damaged while being shipped by a third vessel will be sent to the customer in the summer
Two vessels have delivered the first regimental set of S-400s from the port of Ust-Lug, Leningrad Region, to China within the time limit established by the contract. It includes a command post, radar stations, launching stations, energy equipment and other property. It lacks the equipment that was onboard the third vessel,” the source said.
“The work continues, and the missing equipment is expected to be delivered to the customer in the summer,” the source specified.
In January, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation reported that after a storm in the English Channel the third vessel returned to the port of shipment for inspection of the support equipment and assessment of the damage under the specified insurance event.
The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation declined to comment on the information provided by the source.

The contract with China
In November 2014 it emerged that Russia signed a contract with China to deliver S-400s, and in November 2015 Russian Presidential Aide for Military-Technical Cooperation Vladimir Kozhin confirmed the signing of the contract. China became the first foreign client for these anti-aircraft systems. In June 2016, Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov reported that the Chinese army would receive the systems not earlier than in 2018.
The S-400 Triumf is a Russian long-and mid-range anti-aircraft missile system designed to hit attack and reconnaissance aircraft (including aerial vehicles based on stealth technology) and any other air targets under conditions of intensive enemy fire and electronic countermeasures.

So okay, what happened to the HQ-99 fd2000 ? All that talk about super military power with stealth jets but still have to purchase the S-400? and in another 5 years, won't be surprised if HG-2000 comes out looking awfully similar to the S-400 while claiming its claiming. India and SA are not the largest importer of military hardware. It is in fact China. Sovernmey destroyers, Kilo subs, S-300, s-400 Buk system license production, su-27 license production after off the self purchase of 200, and 70 Su-30MKK, and god knows what else.

Lets hope thats the best missile they get. If the Russians give them strategic missiles in the future, it'll shift the balance of power dramatically via Agni. Will need more than just MIRV and MARV, will need increase the stockpile of Agnis.

China is doing what is good for its own security...And India needs to do what is good for its security. Russia is an equal opportunity seller when it comes to S-400 as it is willing to sell these missiles both to China as well as India.
India should buy whatever high tech weapons it can buy from Russia as nobody else will sell such systems to India.
Make Agni 5 and Agni 6 more powerful and more deadly.

Why do you have to match every weapon others have....Goal is DETERRENCE...and not destructive competition.

India does not want to attack any nation...Its all about having a very very effective deterrence ..so that nobody (not even NATO) can dare to attack India. As I said before...nothing is a better deterrent than a variety of Nukes.
