No, its not. It's a Type 382 sea eagle 3D air/surface search radar. A development of the earlier 381. Compare and contrast between "Top plate" and the Type 382:The radar on second pic looks like fregat on shivaliS. Is it?
Cool . missed that. All ready for WW3No, its not. It's a Type 382 sea eagle 3D air/surface search radar. A development of the earlier 381. Compare and contrast between "Top plate" and the Type 382:
Type 382 is clearly larger

No where near ready enough mate. The Chinese Navy won't be ready to face the USN for more than a decade to come.Cool . missed that. All ready for WW3
Good enough for Japani soko and other SCS nations . Amerikan orange Orangutan won't bat an eyelid .No where near ready enough mate. The Chinese Navy won't be ready to face the USN for more than a decade to come.
That target is so close you could hit it with one these...HQ16 intercepting simulated cruise missile targets:
Because it is a sorry excuse of a test made for photo ops that only proves it can do the job of a $10k MANPAD. If you ever witnessed French and Indian tests there are multiple camera angels, day/thermal imaging and control monitors. HQ16 is touted as superior to Akash that intercepts Lakshya cruise missile target at 23km yet cannot display this in its testing. So you're of the opinion that MRSAM's shouldn't be able to intercept cruise missiles at close range?
HQ16, its naval equivalent HHQ16 and its export version LY80 can intercept cruise missiles from 3.5kms from the launcher. Is that supposed to be a bad thing? Mistral is basically a CIWS missile system mate... Why are you even bringing it up in this context?
And there-in lies your problem. You're comparing footage of a test of an in-development system with footage of a military exercise of an operational air defense unit.Because it is a sorry excuse of a test made for photo ops that only proves it can do the job of a $10k MANPAD.
