Is Wuhan University’s Animal Laboratory the Origin of the COVID-19 Pandemic?

The COVID-19 virus was made in a laboratory in China and was part of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA) biological warfare program.
That much is clear. The matter yet to be resolved is the manner of its release, whether accidental or deliberate.

Although lacking confirmation, there remain persistent rumors of a deliberate release of the COVID-19 virus by the PLA, one scenario being at the 7th CISM Military World Games held in Wuhan from October 18–27, 2019.

In my May 20, 2021 Gateway Pundit article, I cited a source inside China claiming:

  1. A fully-formed or nearly fully-formed COVID-19 virus arrived at the Wuhan Institute of Virology from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Eastern Theater Command in the early months of 2019.
  2. Contrary to the popular narrative, the COVID-19 virus was sent to the Wuhan Institute of Virology primarily for testing.
  3. The testing was assigned to a group of young virologists. The name of the leader of that group is known and the leader’s scientific background is consistent with that role.
  4. Testing was done on non-human primates.

There are two important points to remember regarding that information.

First, the PLA Eastern Theater Command, whose headquarters is in Nanjing, is the same entity, which isolated ZC45 and ZXC21, the bat coronaviruses Chinese whistleblower Dr. Li-Meng Yang says provided the backbone for the laboratory manufacture of the COVID-19 virus.

Second, the non-human primate tests, likely led by Wuhan Institute of Virology scientist Chao Shan, were probably not conducted in its Biosafety Level 4 laboratory in Jiangxia District, but at Wuhan University’s ABSL-3 animal laboratory in Wuchang District, the epicenter of the early outbreak.

Even the “Bat Woman” Zheng-Li Shi of the Wuhan Institute of Virology said that the Jiangxia Biosafety Level 4 facility did not use non-human primates before the outbreak.

In addition, the presumed leader of the COVID-19 non-human primate experiments, Chao Shan, lists his professional address, not at the Biosafety Level 4 laboratory in Jiangxia, but at the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s Biosafety Level 3 facility on Keji Road, close to Wuhan University’s ABSL-3 laboratory.

Additional evidence, some of which may be considered “smoking guns,” has now emerged supporting the contention that the COVID-19 virus might have been released from the Wuhan University’s ABSL-3 animal laboratory while conducting pathogenicity and transmissibility studies, perhaps infecting workers in that facility.

Although previously honored in 2016 as a Leading Talent of the National “Ten Thousand Talents Program,” on May 6, 2020, Hongliang Li was abruptly removed as Director of the Animal Experiment Center of Wuhan University and as the Director of the ABSL-3 laboratory of Wuhan University, according to the report:

“After investigation, no falsification was found, but many papers were found to have the misuse of images, reflecting a lack of rigorous processing of experimental data.”

Afterward, an extensive series of safety inspections of Wuhan University’s ABSL-3 laboratory were undertaken and new safety protocols were announced on August 24, 2020, specifically addressing coronavirus research.

There is other circumstantial evidence that something unusual happened at Wuhan University in November 2019.

The preponderance of evidence indicates that the COVID-19 pandemic might have originated in the Wuhan University’s ABSL-3 animal laboratory. But is it the pandemic perpetrator or the scapegoat for a more nefarious PLA operation?

Unraveling the Corona Virus Origin Mystery with Dr. Lawrence Sellin
When asked whether the coronavirus, because of which the COVID-19 pandemic is rampant across the globe, a bio-weapon, Dr. Sellin said, “I can say at this point that the coronavirus was certainly created in a laboratory; it does not come from nature. And I can say it was developed within a Chinese bio-warfare program. Now, I think the only question remaining is whether it was released accidentally or deliberately; that is what we are focussing on now.”

Talking about the factors which made him conclude calling the coronavirus a bio-weapon, Dr. Lawrence let us know,

“Once you decide that a virus of this type was made in the laboratory, there is only one conclusion you can come to that it was a product of the bio-warfare program; because there is little evidence to indicate anything otherwise. So, once you decide that, you start looking at how it was made and who made it. And all the evidence that we have seen so far, points to the People’s Liberation Army being massively involved in all the pre-requisites or all the work leading up to this particular virus. And we have identified the locations, the people, and much of what they have been doing. All goes back to the People’s Liberation Army. So, that’s the conclusion I am reaching at this point.”

Since 1996, the Chinese Government has been working towards enhancing their abilities in bio-warfare. This can be proven by reading and analyzing some of the journals that came out or the books brought out by professors from different universities revolving around the topics of biotechnology or bio-warfare.

On being asked whether this could be the sowing of seeds for the global dominion China wanted, because it needed to have an advantage over the rest of the world, in particular the USA, Dr. Sellin replied, “It goes further back than the 1990s. It began after World War II, because the Japanese Imperial Army had a bio-warfare program in Manchuria. And when the People’s Liberation Army moved in, they essentially took over those facilities, and expanded from there. So, it is going on for a long time, but I think the important point you made is that approximately during the 1990s, genetic engineering was accelerating. And they saw an opportunity to create what they call genetic weapons, which are genetically modified; for example, viruses and bacteria.”

“They were beginning to document it in their military documents that this was one viable option either in a pre-war or warfare scenario, and all that information is actually out on the internet right now, in terms of what the People’s Liberation Army has been saying about the use of biological weapons. They specifically talk about conditions before and during a war. So, they look at it in both aspects”, continued Dr. Lawrence.

Dr. Sellin’s opinion on whether the Chinese and the PLA were using resources beyond China or if they received international help to enhance their genetic programs was, “They have got a lot of international help. In fact, much of it has come from the USA. If you look at the structure of China’s bio-warfare program, it occurs at three levels. The first or the core level is military and primarily secret. The second level includes China’s civilian and research institutes and universities. In China, there is no difference between military and civilian research. It is not only me who is saying that. The Chinese Communist Party doctrine of the 2016 five-year plan states that they would fuse civilian and military research. And from that level, they make contact internationally. China and its military have massively infiltrated US virus research programs. They have not only tapped into the knowledge and skills but also to some of the funding which has gone back to China and the PLA.”

On facing the question of how does the US deal with such a situation wherein the truth is coming out in the form of startling facts, telling us about these ties of US and China, the COVID-19 expert said, “The first step for the US and the world to take is to accept the fact that COVID-19 was made in a Chinese laboratory and is probably linked to China’s bio-warfare program. Also, from the standpoint of the US, there has been no national security accountability for a lot of the medical research funding, including not just the national institutes of health but also the department of defense- The Pentagon. We need to look carefully at where the money was going and how it was spent. And also investigate the Chinese researchers who have come into the US and see if they have been contributing in developing China’s virus research programs.”

When asked about the role of the WHO and its dereliction of duty, Dr. Sellin replied, “Yes, the WHO, in my opinion, is a disaster. It has covered up for China, right from the initial outbreak and its recent investigation. They say the virus has come from nature, which the propaganda of the CCP. The WHO is useless or perhaps even a dangerous organization and needs to be completely rebuilt or eliminated.”

Dr. Lawrence, when asked about his viewpoint over the world keeping quiet and China’s hold over countries, said, “I can’t speak for the world, but I can say something about the US, which is probably the reflection of the world. The US Government doesn’t work for the American people. It is beholden to globalize financial interests, and these interests are making a lot of money working with China. If the US challenges or investigates China, it will certainly rock the boat and jeopardize their financial interests. There is a lot of pressure from very powerful and wealthy people not to look into this. And on the scientific side, some people are guilty in helping China; maybe they didn’t intend to but ended up doing that.”

“If you look at the Indian situation, in particular, there is one very specific mutation which comes out of the insertion of something

into the virus- it is called the ‘furin cleavage site.’ There is not an evolutionary pathway for that to appear in COVID-19; it had to be inserted. We know that furin cleavage site increases infectivity and pathogenicity, and the Chinese scientists associated with the PLA know how to insert it into a virus.”

“If you look at the 4 amino acids of this site, it is the PRRA- standing for proline, arginine, arginine, alanine. The functionality of the furin cleavage site is in the arginine-arginine (RR), whereas the initial proline is structural. What has happened in the variant rampant in India is that the proline was replaced with another arginine. So instead of two arginines, you have three. It is fairly well documented that as you increase the number of arginines, you increase the functionality of the cleavage site and possibly make it more infectious than the earlier versions. So, that could be affecting India, coming directly from the artificial manipulation of a coronavirus”, Dr. explained the scientific basis of the Indian spread.

He then talked about what can be done as a global village, “First, we need to hold China accountable for creating this virus, and this has to be crystal clear to everyone and accepted by everyone. Secondly, we need to delve into the structure and organization of the Chinese bio-warfare program and expose it. Thirdly, we need to look at how China has manipulated international research connections, not only to benefit their own virus research programs but also how they aided the Chinese.”

On asked whether the vaccines are the real game of the pandemic, keeping in mind the financial aspect, the US Army veteran said, “This is one of the things which have made me angry. There has

been an over-emphasis on the vaccines and what is being neglected are the therapeutics- treating the disease early on its onset. For example, substances like hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin or vitamin-D or zinc, if used early into the disease, could have prevented many people from getting sicker, from being hospitalized, or even dying. Not only was the early treatment with therapeutics ignored, but it was also downplayed. The globe put its entire focus on vaccines. Of course, I believe in vaccines, but the problem with them is that the virus will mutate. Also, vaccines can trigger a number of their own problems, amid a pandemic. There is a chance that certain vaccines can become less effective due to ongoing mutations. I am afraid that a lot of vaccine production can be related to certain people’s financial interests.”

“Viruses will try to adjust to the immune system and try to avoid it. A lot of that has to do with the mutations that are occurring. That is, of course, the danger people point out about mass- vaccinations in the middle of a pandemic. You could create conditions where the virus is mutating more than you could expect it to. Trying to catch up, in terms of vaccines, becomes a problem when the virus is constantly mutating and the vaccines then becoming less effective”, he added.

Dr. Lawrence had tweeted about the PLA bringing the virus to the Wuhan lab. On asked about the procurement of the virus by the Chinese army and the existence of a global cartel that plays around with bio-weapons, he replied, “I haven’t looked into that very carefully. Yet, it is a well-known fact that China collaborates with countries like North Korea and Pakistan in terms of bio-warfare. But I haven’t looked into it in detail. What I can say is that early in 2019, a fully or nearly fully formed COVID-19 was sent from the People’s Liberation Army Eastern Theatre Command in Nanjing, its headquarters, to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, specifically for testing on non-human primates- monkeys. The leader of these tests was Chao Shan, who has a background in working with monkeys and transmitting viruses. As mentioned on the Wuhan Virology Institute website, his address is not where the new Wuhan Institute of Virology facility is. It is in the Wuchang district, which has turned out to be the epicenter of the initial phase of the pandemic. There is a Wuhan Institute of Virology facility there- a level 3 facility. Close to it is the Wuhan University which has a non-human primate facility for the last 15 years.

“Close by in the same area, is the PLA hospital. So, all the three centers could be related to where the pandemic started. If we go back to the PLA Eastern Theatre Command in Nanjing, it was that group of scientists which came out of that particular Command, which isolated the bat coronaviruses, which are called zc45 and zxc21. These are the same bat coronaviruses that Chinese whistleblower, Dr. Li-Meng Yan, has said to be the backbone of COVID-19”, Dr. Lawrence joined the dots.

How the University of Minnesota May Have Contributed to China’s Biowarfare Program
The COVID-19 virus was created in a laboratory and it was part of China’s biowarfare program.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has overall responsibility for that program, which is executed by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

The biowarfare program consists of three levels.

The first level is the core, secret military level.

Layered on top of the core level are China’s universities, civilian research institutions and medical companies.

Everyone needs to understand that, in China, there is no difference between military and civilian research. The fusion of those research and development sectors was mandated by the 2016 CCP Thirteenth Five-Year Plan.

It is the middle layer that has allowed the PLA to access international knowledge and skills, particularly from the U.S., all of which has contributed to the advancement of China’s virus research programs, including bioweapons development.

A potential example of the PLA gaining access to U.S. knowledge, skills and funding is the laboratory of Fang Li, who graduated from Beijing University and received a Ph.D. from Yale University.

Fang Li has been a frequent research collaborator with Zheng-Li Shi, the “bat woman” of the Wuhan Institute of Virology and Shibo Jiang, a graduate of China’s military medical universities and a long-time and extensive collaborator with China’s People’s Liberation Army.

But Fang Li also appears to have connections with what is believed to be part of China’s core military and secret biowarfare program.

Fang Li obtained a faculty position at the University of Minnesota and has been continuously funded by Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

After establishing himself at the University of Minnesota and as an example of the CCP’s “scientific chain migration,” Fang Li began inviting Chinese researchers into his laboratory, mainly from Wuhan University and Huazhong Agricultural University, also in Wuhan.

From Wuhan University were Yang Yang (now at Iowa State University), Lang Chen, Yushun Wan, and Jian Shang, who also acts as an official recruiter for Fang Li, presumably seeking more CCP researchers.

From Huazhong Agricultural University were Guiqing Peng and Ye Gang.

In an earlier Gateway Pundit article, we emphasized the importance of Chinese veterinary and agricultural research as contributors to a biowarfare program, one element being the Military Veterinary Research Institute in Changchun, led by General Ningyi Jin, shown below giving a lecture at Huazhong Agricultural University in 2018.

For over 20 years, the Huazhong Agricultural University directly collaborated with the Military Veterinary Research Institute on its J-203-1-01 project “Research and Application of Key Technologies for the Prevention and Control of Important Animal Viral Diseases.”

At one time there was a 4th PLA Veterinary School in Wuhan before it merged with the Military Veterinary Research Institute in Changchun.

Little trace of the 4th PLA Veterinary School remains on the internet, but if you search it plus “Wuhan,” the results yield Huazhong Agricultural University and its animal testing facility.

In our May 25, 2021 Gateway Pundit article, we identified the Wuhan University Animal Biosafety Level Three (ABSL-3) testing facility as a potential origin of the COVID-19 pandemic, a consequence of the non-human primate tests being conducted there.

All the PLA-connected facilities shown on the map were within the epicenter of the early outbreak at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fang Li, together with the “bat woman” Zheng-Li Shi of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, conducted detailed collaborative research involving an analysis and artificial manipulation of coronavirus spike proteins, structures regulating human infectivity.

It is yet to be determined how much of Fang Li’s research may have found its way into China’s biological warfare program via his extensive collaboration with Wuhan research institutions and their links to the People’s Liberation Army.

REPORT: High-Ranking Chinese Defector Working With DIA Has 'Direct Knowledge' of China's Bioweapons Program—and It's Very Bad
In an exclusive story at RedState, Jen Van Laar reports that sources inside the intelligence community say a high-ranking defector from China has been working for months with the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). According to Van Laar’s confidential sources, that high-ranking defector claims to have knowledge of special weapons programs in China—that include bioweapons.

Adam Housley first reported via Twitter on Thursday that “the increased pressure on China in recent days is due to a defector with intimate knowledge” of the program. According to Housley, FBI director Christopher Wray “didn’t know right away because they wanted to make sure they got all they needed before telling him.”

In fact, Wray was “ambushed” with the information, according to Van Laar’s sources, as was the CIA. “Sources say DIA leadership kept the defector within their Clandestine Services network to prevent Langley and the State Department from accessing the person, whose existence was kept from other agencies because DIA leadership believes there are Chinese spies or sources inside the FBI, CIA, and several other federal agencies,” according to the report.

Why was the defector so important that he had to be kept under wraps?

Housley says it’s because the defector has information on the origins of the Wuhan virus: “China is trying to produce variants that suggest it came from bats to cover up that coronavirus originally came from a lab.” He later clarified: “US intelligence has a Chinese defector with Wuhan info. AND China is trying to produce variants that suggest it came from bats to cover up that coronavirus originally came from a lab.”

According to RedState’s sources, “the defector has been with the DIA for three months” and has provided “an extensive, technically detailed debrief to US officials.”

“In DIA’s assessment, the information provided by the defector is legitimate,” wrote Van Laar. “Sources say the level of confidence in the defector’s information is what has led to a sudden crisis of confidence in Dr. Anthony Fauci, adding that U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) personnel detailed to DIA have corroborated very technical details of information provided by the defector.”

All of this raises many questions. Why, “suddenly,” did the U.S. legacy media en masse turn-tail and start pointing fingers at China and doubting Fauci? Why did left-wing outlets like the Washington Post and BuzzFeed “suddenly” decide it was the right time to drop Fauci’s emails—just days after the lab-leak story was “suddenly” no longer verboten on social media? Fauci’s emails revealed what we’ve been reporting here at PJ Media for months (mostly behind the paywall for our VIP subscribers to avoid the Gestapo social-media censors): that Fauci was working with a Chinese scientist from the Wuhan lab; that he asked Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg to help with COVID messaging; and that he signed off on funding for dangerous gain-of-function research in Wuhan.

One gets the sense that a dam the size of Three Gorges on the Yangtze River is about to blow. The question will be, as it almost is when political figures are caught in a coverup: What did they know and when did they know it? And who knew what was really going on?

If any of this turns out to be true—particularly the suggestion that China may have intentionally unleashed the most deadly bioweapon in world history—you might want to begin thinking about where you’re going to spend the U.S.-Sino War. If, as Housley claims, the FBI, CIA, and other federal agencies are swarming with Chinese spies, it would constitute the biggest national security failure in U.S. history—and the most deadly.

The implications are terrifying.

China’s Bioweapons Hatchery Included Numerous Chinese Research Centers Like Those in Wuhan and U.S. Collaborators as Well
The Wuhan Institute of Virology or another Wuhan research center may have been the source of the release of COVID-19, but they are only cogs in a giant People’s Liberation Army (PLA) biowarfare wheel.

There is a vast biological warfare complex in Jilin Province near the North Korean border, particularly in and around the city of Changchun.
It was the incubator if not the actual birthplace of COVID-19.
Based on an examination of Chinese-language documents and scientific publications, we believe that the Military Veterinary Research Institute, the Institute of Zoonotic Diseases in Changchun, and PLA-controlled laboratories in Jilin Province, led by General Ningyi Jin and retired General Xianzhu Xia, are core elements of China’s biowarfare program.
Within that core are the laboratory of Molecular Virology and Immunology, the Military Genetic Engineering Key Laboratory, the Jilin Province Recombinant Vaccine Research and Development Engineering Center, and an Animal Biosafety Level 3 testing facility, both a stationary and a mobile unit.

Biao He from the Military Veterinary Research Institute and Changjun Wang of the PLA Eastern Theater Command in Nanjing isolated the bat coronaviruses ZC45 and ZXC21, claimed by Chinese whistleblower Dr. Li-Meng Yan to be the viral backbones for COVID-19.

Those and other potential COVID-19 backbones were harvested and underwent experimentation in the Changchun and Jilin Province biowarfare facilities.

At least four subordinates of Ningyi Jin and Xianzhu Xia have been engaged in a massive domestic and international virus collection effort for over eight years: Biao He, Quanshui Fan, Changchun Tu, and Zhiqiang Wu.

The virus samples collected number in the thousands.

All the capabilities for producing COVID-19 were already in place in the Changchun and Jilin Province facilities by 2015 and that capability was demonstrated in a single scientific publication.

The authors used “gain of function” by genetic engineering, viral reassortment to capture the ideal functionality of different viruses, and serial passaging in animal models to “pre-adapt” a virus for maximal infectivity and lethality.

Chuan Qin is considered by many as China’s national expert on animal models and serial passaging.

A number of U.S.-based or funded scientists have been directly collaborating with the PLA Military Veterinary Research Institute, all supported by Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases or other U.S. government departments.

They include Stanley Pearlman of the University of Iowa, Pei-Yong Shi (2021) and Vineet Menachery (October 2020) of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Linfa Wang of the Duke University-National University of Singapore, Martha Stokes of the Biological Threat Reduction Program, Defense Threat Reduction Agency (February 2021) and Scott McVey of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The debate about the origin of COVID-19 is over. It was made in a laboratory, the Military Veterinary Research Institute likely being instrumental in that process.

There are two tasks remaining.
First, to identify the exact methods used and the timeline involved in the creation of COVID-19 and the PLA members involved.
Second, to expose all the U.S.-based or funded scientists that helped the PLA do it.

EXCLUSIVE: China’s Biowarfare Program Involved in the Origin of COVID-19 Is Linked to Its Military Yet It Accesses Knowledge, Skills and Funding from the US
China’s biowarfare program has three levels.

There is a core secret military level consisting of military research centers and hospitals.

The core layer is supervised by the Academy of Military Medical Sciences in coordination with so-called “civilian” entities such as the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and the Chinese Centers for Disease Control.

Layered on top of the core level are China’s universities, civilian research institutions, and medical companies.

Everyone should understand that, in China, there is no difference between military and civilian research.

The fusion of those research and development sectors was mandated by the 2016 Chinese Communist Party’s Thirteenth Five-Year Plan.

It is that middle layer, which has allowed China to access international knowledge, skills, and funding, particularly from the United States, all of which has contributed to the advancement of China’s virus research, including bioweapons development.

In an April 20, 2021 Gateway Pundit article, we highlighted the important contributions of veterinary and agricultural scientists to China’s biowarfare program.

Here we document connections within that core military level, how it links to the middle layer of Chinese universities and research institutes and how that middle layer establishes research collaboration with U.S.-based scientists to access U.S. knowledge, skills and research funding, which has benefitted China’s biowarfare program.

As stated in our May 14, 2021 Gateway Pundit article, the Military Veterinary Research Institute and the Institute of Zoonotic Diseases in Changchun, Jilin Province, China, led by People’s Liberation Army General Ningyi Jin and retired General Xianzhu Xia, are core military elements of China’s biowarfare program.

The Military Veterinary Research Institute and the Institute of Zoonotic Diseases in Changchun directly coordinate with the Academy of Military Medical Sciences in Beijing. It acts as a clearinghouse and a manager of military-related activities in China’s universities and civilian research centers. It has also led a virus-collection program as well as conducting its own research, especially in regard to mammalian and non-human primate experiments on viruses and vaccines.

As described in our May 18, 2021 Gateway Pundit article, at least four subordinates of Xianzhu Xia and Ningyi Jin have been engaged in a massive domestic and international virus collection effort for over eight years, namely, Biao He, Quanshui Fan, Changchun Tu and Zhiqiang Wu.

Biao He, together with Changjun Wang of the People’s Liberation Army Eastern Theater Command in Nanjing, played key roles in the isolation of bat coronaviruses ZC45 and ZXC21, claimed by Chinese whistleblower Dr. Li-Meng Yan to be the viral backbones for COVID-19.

We believe that the Military Veterinary Research Institute and the Institute of Zoonotic Diseases in Changchun were deeply involved in the research that led to the creation of the COVID-19 virus.

The following image shows how China’s core military biowarfare level connects to the middle layer of Chinese universities and civilian research institutes, which are being managed by the Military Veterinary Research Institute and the Institute of Zoonotic Diseases in Changchun.

Colonel Jieying Bai of the People’s Liberation Army is a key link connecting the Military Veterinary Research Institute and the Institute of Zoonotic Diseases in Changchun, the Academy of Military Medical Science and its laboratory animal centers in Beijing and the People’s Liberation Army’s Eastern Theater Command in Nanjing, the source of the bat coronaviruses ZX45 and ZXC21.

Colonel Bai has listed his professional locations as the Jingfeng Medical Laboratory Animal Institute and the Laboratory Animal Center of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences in Beijing.

We believe they are the same entity with a newer facility having been constructed in February 2020.

Both the older animal research facility (Location 1) and the newer facility (Location 2) are within the same complex as the Institute of Microbiology of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences and the People’s Liberation Army Hospital Number 307.

The final layer of China’s biowarfare program is the link to U.S. virus research programs. Most often those connections are established from the middle layer of Chinese universities and research institutes, but occasionally there are direct connections.

One such direct connection is Professor Pei-Yong Shi of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Funded by Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Pei-Yong Shi, who is also been an honorary professor at the Wuhan Institute of Virology since 2007, has conducted collaborative research, including “gain of function” and patents, with Cheng-Feng Qin from the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Hualei Wang from the Military Veterinary Research Institute in Changchun and the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

It is time to end the debate about the origin of the COVID-19 virus, which China hopes to prolong. The COVID-19 virus was made in a laboratory in China.

The next task is to identify those in the People’s Liberation Army who were involved in creating the COVID-19 virus and precisely how it was done.

In conjunction, there should be an investigation of U.S.-based scientists who may have assisted the People’s Liberation Army and expose the extent of infiltration of U.S. virus research programs by the Chinese Communist Party and the People’s Liberation Army.

Defector Claiming Chinese Military Responsible for COVID-19 Identified as Top Counterintelligence Official
Over the last several weeks, we’ve been bringing you Jen Van Laar’s shocking exclusive reports at RedState about a Chinese defector, reportedly working with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), who claims to have “direct knowledge” of China’s bioweapons program. The defector allegedly has evidence proving that SARS-CoV-2 was created by the Chinese military and released from a lab. Now, we know the defector’s name.

RedState:
RedState’s sources confirmed that the defector is, in fact, Dong [Jingwei], that he was in charge of counterintelligence efforts in China, and that he flew to the United States in mid-February, allegedly to visit his daughter at a university in California. When Dong landed in California he contacted DIA officials and told them about his plans to defect and the information he’d brought with him. Dong then “hid in plain sight” for about two weeks before disappearing into DIA custody.
Spy Talk, a website that reports on U.S. intelligence, defense, and foreign policy, alleges that the information provided by Dong was the impetus behind the Biden administration making a 180-degree turn on the lab-leak theory. The site reported that Dong is a “longtime official in China’s Ministry of State Security (MSS), also known as the Guoanbu.” According to his public profiles, “he was responsible for the Ministry’s counterintelligence efforts in China, i.e., spy-catching, since being promoted to vice minister in April 2018.”

If that is true, Dong would be the highest-level defector in the history of the People’s Republic of China.

Dr. Han Lianchao, another Chinese defector, citing an unnamed source, claimed in a tweet last week that Chinese officials demanded the extradition of Dong at last August’s Sino-American Summit in Alaska.

RedState’s sources confirmed that Chinese officials did indeed demand the return of Dong, but said that at the time, Sec. of State Anthony Blinken wasn’t aware that Dong was working with the DIA and denied that the U.S. had him.

Spy Talk warns that it’s not unusual for unconfirmed reports about Chinese defectors to surface.

That’s not the case here, insists RedState, “based on conversations with sources familiar with the information Dong has already provided and its quantity and reliability.”

“Not only does Dong have detailed information about China’s special weapons systems, the Chinese military’s operation of the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origins of SARS-CoV-2, and the Chinese government’s assets and sources within the United States; Dong has extremely embarrassing and damaging information about our intelligence community and government officials in the ‘terabytes of data’ he’s provided to the DIA.”

To explain the breadth of the data Dong reportedly turned over to the feds, a single terabyte is approximately the equivalent of 75 million pages — or nearly 19 million documents. The potential scope of such a cache of documents is breathtaking to consider. According to RedState, the data includes:
  • Early pathogenic studies of the virus we now know as SARS-CoV-2
  • Models of predicted COVID-19 spread and damage to the U.S. and the world
  • Financial records detailing which exact organizations and governments funded the research on SARS-CoV-2 and other biological warfare research
  • Names of U.S. citizens who provide intel to China
  • Names of Chinese spies working in the U.S. or attending U.S. universities
  • Financial records showing U.S. businessmen and public officials who’ve received money from the Chinese government
  • Details of meetings U.S. government officials had (perhaps unwittingly) with Chinese spies and members of Russia’s SVR
  • How the Chinese government gained access to a CIA communications system, leading to the death of dozens of Chinese people who were working with the CIA

RedState again:
Again, according to sources, Dong told DIA debriefers that at least a third of Chinese students attending US universities are PLA assets or part of the Thousand Talents Plan and that many of the students are here under pseudonyms. One reason for using pseudonyms is that many of these students are the children of high-ranking military and party leaders.
In an interesting twist, Dong reportedly provided DIA with the contents of Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop (who doesn’t have it at this point?) detailing not only his excessive porn use but also information about Joe Biden’s shady business dealings in China.

This is potentially explosive, geo-political-altering information. It would be extremely dangerous not only to Chinese officials who have insisted that SARS-CoV-2 evolved naturally and spread through wild animals, but it would also indict the World Health Organization, which by most accounts impeded the investigation into the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which many scientists and officials now believe was the source of the virus, whether by accident or intentionally.

It could also be a black eye for U.S. officials who, until very recently, refused to even consider the possibility that the virus originated in the Wuhan lab and labeled such claims conspiracy theories. The same is true of our social media overlords, who actively suppressed stories suggesting a lab leak and punished websites and individuals who published alternatives to the natural-evolution theory. Anthony Fauci, who has carried water for the Chinese Communist Party for the last year and a half, could also be in hot water, depending on what’s in the documents. And that’s before you even get to the specter of an infestation of Chinese Communist spies embedded in the U.S. government.

One thing we know for sure: no one is more nervous about what’s in those docs than Joe Biden.

Re: China's Type 039C Yuan-class sub seen preparing for sea trials | J

a little correction here...this is a 039B SSK ,not 039C in the title...
the first vessel of this new varient has arrived some port and began her first sea trial..

3. majorly improved varient was given a new codename-- 039B appeared in 2013, the next varient 039C also has surfaced slowly, but it would take some time to show itself ..
---------------------

here comes the ‘true’ 039C and she will begin the first sea trial soon as the lead vessel of this type, quite some 'sisters' have already been launched...

China is building more than 100 new missile silos in its western desert, analysts say

China has begun construction of what independent experts say are more than 100 new silos for intercontinental ballistic missiles in a desert near the northwestern city of Yumen, a building spree that could signal a major expansion of Beijing’s nuclear capabilities.

Commercial satellite images obtained by researchers at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies in Monterey, Calif., show work underway at scores of sites across a grid covering hundreds of square miles of arid terrain in China’s Gansu province. The 119 nearly identical construction sites contain features that mirror those seen at existing launch facilities for China’s arsenal of nuclear-tipped ballistic missiles.

The acquisition of more than 100 new missile silos, if completed, would represent a historic shift for China, a country that is believed to possess a relatively modest stockpile of 250 to 350 nuclear weapons. The actual number of new missiles intended for those silos is unknown but could be much smaller. China has deployed decoy silos in the past.

If the silos under construction at other sites across China are added to the count, the total comes to about 145 silos under construction,.

A commercial satellite photo taken Monday over northwestern China shows what experts say is a
construction site for a new silo for a nuclear-tipped ICBM. The construction site is hidden under a
230-foot cover, a common concealment practice observed at other Chinese missile sites.

145 new missile silos are far more than the current Chinese nuclear stockpile can effectively utilize; combined with the relatively close hexagonal positioning, analysts believe it's a "shell game" configuration to soak incoming warheads.
