China launched its most technologically-advanced naval destroyer. The new Chinese Type 055 Super Destroyer is the size of the American Ticonderoga-class cruiser.
China's Type 055 Super Destroyer has a dual-band radar. It has four massive square AESA S-band radars for long-distance search-and-track. Additionally, on the mast, it has smaller-squared AESA X-band radars for short-distance targeting.
The Type 055 has 128 vertically launched cells (or VLS) that can each carry a single large missile or a quad-pack of smaller missiles. This represents enormous attack or defense capability, depending on the types of missiles carried. Also, the Chinese VLS can either be "hot" or "cold" launched.
For ship defense, the Type 055 has two FL-3000N launchers. Each FL-3000N launcher contains eight anti-missile missiles. "An optional extra magazine with automated loading system is available for larger warships when there is enough space provided." However, I don't know the time required for the automated reloading of the FL-3000N launcher on the Type 055 Super Destroyer.
The final line of ship defense is the two Type 1130 CIWS (close-in weapon system). These are 11-barrel gatling guns that fire over 10,000 rounds per minute. A CIWS can be reloaded, but I don't know the reload time for the Type 1130 CIWS.

Type 055 is a new class of Guided missile destroyer (In terms of tonnage and weapons it's in a cruiser classification), packing 128 VLS cells. Weighing between 10,000 - 14,000 tons it one of the heaviest destroyers in the world. It is expected for the Chinese Navy to build several more of these to complement Type 052D and Type 052C DDGs and replace older destroyers in the Chinese Navy's Fleet."
