China has been building delta-wing jet fighters for 50 years.

J-7 (first flight 1966) delta wing design -->
J-8 (first flight 1969) enlarged delta wing design -->
J-9 (first flight 1975) tailless canard-delta wing design (project canceled in 1980 due to inability to mass produce WS-6 turbofan engine) -->
J-10 (first flight 1998) tailless canard-delta wing design -->
J-20 (first flight 2011) stealthy tailless canard-delta wing design -->
J-31 (first flight 2012) stealthy clipped-delta wing design

Fifty years ago, China started with its first delta-wing design. All subsequent aircraft have been an evolution of the basic delta-wing design by adding a canard and then making it stealthy. It is clear that all of the Chinese fighters (e.g. J-7, J-8, J-9, J-10, J-20, and J-31) belong to the same delta-wing family.

The J-31 is a modified design of China's basic delta-wing fighter. The J-31 uses a clipped-delta wing.

In conclusion, China has been building delta-wing designs and their offshoots for fifty years.

On the left is a Chinese J-7E with a unique double-delta wing design. On the right is the Chinese J-9 tailless canard-delta wing prototype.

J7 is an variant of Mig 21 of Soviet. Calling it Chinese design is an insult to the creators of this fantastic aircrafts. As a friend of SU, it let China to build and sell it directly to countries it was not able to do due to cold war considerations.
J10 is Israeli design. Its Lavi aircraft which was grounded cos of pressure from US and threatens of financial implications by the Americans. It was later brought by China.

The only designs China can call its own are J20 and J31, although both are said to heavily influenced by Mig 1.44 and F35, with modifications of their, Chinese can call it their own.

There is a lot of difference in meaning btw building delta wings and designing.

You are wrong.

The original J-7 was a MiG-21 variant. However, as the picture in the original post shows, China experimented and created many different delta designs. As pictured, the J-7E was a double-delta.

China's J-9 preceded the Israeli Lavi. Chengdu's J-10 was based on the Chengdu J-9. There is a wood model of the J-10 that predates the existence of the Israeli Lavi. The Israelis copied China's J-9 and J-10 design.

The J-20 was not influenced by the Mig 1.44, but is a stealth version of the J-10. The Mig 1.44 has canards that are far above the wings. The J-10 and J-20 both have canards that align with the wings from a frontal perspective. The J-20 has air intakes on the side of the fuselage. In contrast, the Mig 1.44 has its air intakes under the fuselage.

The J-20 has serpentine air intakes. The Mig 1.44 is a conventional fighter with straight air intakes. The two planes are completely different.

The Chinese Shenyang J-31 is a twin-engine plane. The F-35 is a single-engine plane. The F-35 has a fat fuselage and thick wing roots to accommodate a lift fan. China's J-31 is a sleek design with thin wing roots. The F-35 has a weapon bay with angled bay doors (to avoid encroaching into the lift-fan space). China's J-31 has a cleaner straight weapon bay door design.

In conclusion, the Chinese fighters are quite distinctive due to indigenous design. The numerous design differences between the Chinese fighters and the aforementioned fighters prove that they are unrelated.

A big lol. Its like ordering an cake from Bakery, adding an cherry on top of it, and calling it your own.
It doesnt matter what u did with Mig 21. You copied from it, even if u improved upon it, cannot be called "indigenous". Know the difference.

Its really documented J10 is a straight copy of Israeli Levi. No amount of ur refusal will correct that. Its futile. Even Chinese wont believe ur take on J7 and J10's.

As for J20 and J31, I gave credit where it is due. Its inspired from Mig 1.44 and F35, and not an complete copy. China has innovated where necessary and come out with its own designs. Infact its the firsts aircrafts desinged in China. But not the others.
