China has 103 companies on 2016 Fortune Global 500

China continues to rise economically. Last year, China had 98 companies on the 2015 Fortune Global 500.

The Fortune Global 500 companies are the largest companies in the world by revenue.

On this year's list, five more Chinese companies joined the 2016 Fortune Global 500.

Due to the strong dollar, six more US companies joined the 2016 Fortune Global 500.

The US has the most world's-largest companies with 134 corporations. China is in second place with 103 companies.

The Fortune Global 500 list represents 37.6% of world GDP.
