A 1 Billion LNG ship only creates 1000 job, 1 Billion shoes would creates 30,000 jobs, it will have problem for China.
Yes but the need to create jobs will be worse for countries with a lot of young people entering the market.

AI and automation will impact developing nations adversely because they are the least likely to automate and at the same time have the most need for jobs.

This is the first step in that direction:

We might need a new economic model if automation takes over. Automation in the long term will allow advance countries to keep production domestically since automation will make things cheaper than any cheap labor overseas.

So the new model will be more like Saudi Arabia or Brunei where the citizens do not need to work but get generous welfare from the state since the country can produce and supply goods beyond the need for employment:

This won't happen this decade but it is surely coming.

The exporting powers -- China, Japan, Germany, S Korea -- are the fastest to automate because they need to be competitive in price.

This McKinsey report came out in 2017 and predicted 800M jobs lost to automation. But it really didn't look at the AI aspect for services.

And it was six years ago. The potential job loses could be in the trillions under the latest scenarios. Vietnam and ASEAN might be the last beneficiaries from labor arbitrage before the automation/AI age hits full force.

Developed countries are already reshoring and automation allows them to do that. But during the transition, Vietnam and others can still benefit. But they need to develop quickly so they themselves can automate.

It's truly happening. Customer service department and the graphic design group of my company, after utilized the AI tools, our working efficiency increased around 20%. We already stop hiring call center seat... It really means a lot.

Before 2020 he visited China frequently. I saw him in person from a Baidu Assembly during 2018. I can feel that he was trying the cooperation between chinese companies with NVIDIA as much as possible.

Do youb know that Lisa Su and Huang are relatives? is thst true?
Both are relatives.
btw what were you doing at baidu

On deputation from the MSS for purposes of a day job in case a need for an alibi emerges. Must be close to retirement having led an uneventful life & had an equally boring career. At least he isn't masquerading as a woman. Thank God for tender mercies.

India may cut solar panel import tax to make up domestic shortfall

Read more at:
https://economictimes.indiatimes.co...ofinterest&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=cppst

Will be good for Chinese makers?

Doesn't really matter. Importing from anywhere on earth involves Chinese components anyways :D

Same situation as cellphones or EV, unless you make everything locally it will be good for Chinese makers. You could be buying from a Korean company in Vietnam or Mexico and you will still benefit Chinese firms.

A new market that China basically created by mass producing something that allowed civilians to buy! Same with solar cells, cellphones and EVs.

There are more market levers that'll be created economy of scale -- look for household robots, helo-cars and mini-nuclear reactors :)

Chiplets at 4nm performance are commercialized for China's super computers!

A few days ago, the China Supercomputer Research Center (NSCC) stated that it has realized the packaging of China's first 4-nanometer chip and has applied the chip to a computer cluster. This means that China has made further progress in chip packaging technology and will solve the problem of chip performance for China Forge a new path.
...

There are actually two types of chiplet technology. One is to package the same chips of the same process together. For example, Apple's M1 Pro MAX is to connect two M1s together in a special way to greatly improve performance. The other is to combine different processes. The chips are packaged together, and the overall performance is improved by reducing the communication time between many chips.

The two chip packaging technologies of chiplets are actually developed by companies in China. The chip stacking technology proposed by a technology company in Shenzhen, China is the first one. It can integrate two 14nm chips to achieve performance close to the 7nm process. This technology Has been patented.

The 4nm chiplet packaging technology developed by China's largest packaging company Changdian Technology has reached the world's leading level. It can package chips of different processes together to achieve leading performance. The maximum packaging area reaches 1500 square millimeters, which can meet the needs of many domestic manufacturers The performance requirements of various industries for advanced chips.
