This is actually the most consequential front in the US-China Cold War. The US is trying to curb China's tech growth. In a few more years, you'll see a sea change in the tech market place -- Chinese companies like Huawei once spent hundreds of billions per year buying US and US-allied chips. That money will now be directed more and more towards Chinese firms :)

‘China Is now under technology watch. US and Europe is unlikely allow China to allow import, copy or steal any technology. All that impression they created last year to invade Taiwan, part of which was to grab Taiwanese high technology including Chips Fabs. It failed hence they are forced to import finished products but not technology to build high end chips. Their own made chips are good for household and lower end commercial items.

It took longtime but finally wisdom had done on the West that China is headquarter of steal, copy and manufacturing.

It is understandable that you think that way to make yourself feel better ;)

China actually leads the world in patents:

Especially, it leads in the defining 5G space (and had already been a leader in 4G.)

And now its silicon industry is expanding at such a clip that China would match the US and South Korea as the top manufacturers of chip by 2025.

China's semiconductor industry sales totaled $39.8bn in 2020, a growth rate of 30.6 per cent from 2019, the SIA said. In 2015, China chip sales were just $13bn, or a 3.8 per cent market share... the SIA is projecting that China, if it maintains that growth rate, could surpass EU and Japan as early as next year, and close the gap with US and Korea, whose predicted sales are on a largely declining or flat curve through 2025.

Soros Criticizes Xi for Handling of China Economy, Virus
February 1st, 2022, 1:41 AM MST
Billionaire George Soros urged China to replace Xi Jinping with a less repressive leader, citing Xi’s enemies within the party, a real estate crisis, ineffective vaccines and a falling birthrate as factors working against him. Soros made the comments Monday at an event sponsored by the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. (Source: Bloomberg)

Since Soros is now going after Xi also, Xi must be doing many things correctly.
Guess Soros feels China should be more like the USA, easy for invaders to loot and manipulate. Reds protect the nation.

Japan depends on China almost exclusively for tech imports:

For Japan, imports from China made up 98.8% of all imports of laptop and tablet computers and 85.7% for mobile phones.

Where does the article say that?

"Japan flagged its vulnerability to supply side constraints in China in a report showing that more than 1,000 import items are heavily dependent on its biggest trading partner.

China had a more than 50% share in 1,133 categories of imported goods, or 23% of the value of Japan’s imports in 2019, according to a trade analysis by the Cabinet Office released Thursday.

The level of reliance was about twice as much as U.S. dependence on China, the report said.

The analysis comes as Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s government is expected to introduce an economic security bill later this month. The bill aims to strengthen supply chains, ensure the security of core infrastructure, enhance research and development, and tighten information disclosure on patents, Kishida said Friday in Tokyo. ..."

Looks more like fear mongering by the traitorous lying thieving socialist fascist parasites. The traitorous socialist fascist parasites off on yet another wealth and power grab.

Stole life to spread a HUE/colors among the lifeless. They all had their warning, Thou shalt not steal. Would have been so easy to pay the Coat of Many Colors. They will wish they had paid. Too late now. 😇

Good for Japan to get out of Chinese supply side shadow. It is that excessive imports from China that has made belligerent, threatening everybody. If the Japanese government takes that step to limit Chinese import dependency then others will take similar steps…..

One task which is undone and unsaid is that a poster “Sexy Chinese lady” is running around on this website full time telling false information about China as a propagandist for Chinese Communist Party or the Global Times. He is not telling the truth. He scuttles the truth and posts only which his masters in Peking wants him or her to post.

We should watch out for this falsehood or worst of all ban him or her from this website.

My guess is that he is a Taiwanese rebel. Posting of CCP and Chinese greatness in an effort to breed resentment, envy or even hatred against the CCP, China and Chinese people. I like China and the Chinese and his posts often frustrate/annoy me. :) I am quick to anger and rage. Marked me a bad man.

China is tracking typical East Asian growth. It should pass the US in nominal GDP around 2030 and would be about three times the size of the US economy by 2070.

It is basically no different from Japan, Korea and Hong Kong except it is a hell of lot bigger. Nominal capita income level is following the same trajectory.

Its GDP is already much bigger than the US by PPP and consumes 10 times more on primary industrial components like steel, aluminum and cement which begs to question how accurate nominal GDP even is!
