Integrating ASEAN nations with big infrastructure is part of plan of China. Yunnan and Lao HSR deeply changed ecocomy of the tinyl and locked nation.

Connecting far better economies like Thai, Malaysia, Singapore will give upper hands in competitions between China and India.

I think the Laos HSR is a decent idea but it is really useless at this point in time. It gives China pretty good way to get near the coast but Cambodia needs to sign up and this is doubtful. The Myanmar and Pakistan routes to the coast have clearly failed. Laos needs an outlet to the sea for China to ship its manufacturing there and label it as “Made in Laos”. Clearly China has been trying to outsource low end manufacturing to poor countries with coastal access in hopes of relabeling. But this strategy is bound to fail as no big market is going to allow this. India did not sign the RCEP for this very same reason. Vietnam is struggling to increase exports for the same reason. Made in Vietnam is simply relabeled Chinese output.
China’s NDRC is not a stupid body. It has done some smart things but other countries are catching on to the con pretty fast. The strategy of China + 1 is written in stone now. Derisking is baked into American boardrooms and there is no going back.

That is correct, I live in North Japan, taking the high speed train is expensive, airplane is cheaper, in small countries, high speed trains make sense if two cities are close, but Mexico is huge

View attachment 234528

High speed trains do not Make sense for our needs, we do have trains but they are much slower, and to be fair we have a better bus transporttion system in some cities better than in the USA
View attachment 234529

That is the Mexico city Toluca city Train, both cities are close to each other, but as Mexico is so big, buses are better

View attachment 234530

I supppose for India, trains are a good option but I guess more conventional trains are better. further more buses in mexico make sense in Mexico city because most of our population lives near Mexico city, so subway, buses are the main transportation.

The Chinese Maglev is just an over expensive system used for airport to the main city of Shangai, it is too impractical for mass transportation

Shanghai Maglev is 100% vanity project just like the pudong skyscraper district with mostly empty buildings. Commies are always good at putting up smokescreens.
The RRTS train in India travels at 160kmph max and 120 kmph or 2 km a minute average - a semi HSR - and covers 30KM in 15-20 minutes. Where is the need for Maglev then?
This is the ideal train system for 80-100 KMs range from a major metropolitan city center. The current line will be about 80KMs to Meerut. But the Delhi NC region is building 3 more lines extending to a similar length of 100 kms each around Delhi. This is the most optimal, cost saving transport - fast and economical. When such systems exist, Maglev is a total vanity project done so some party Secretary can swindle millions of dollars.

Here is the Delhi-Meerut RRTS train system:

totally Agree with you, I like India, a strong India is important for the whole world, because a counter balance to China is needed in Asia, otherwise the chinese will become the next nazi Germany and I am afraid you will be highly affected,

First Happy new year.

While I am not always agreeing with you nor I support comunism, I have probably made an impression I am anti-chinese, to be honest China has made advances, all the nations have, All nations deserve a better life style and standard of living.

Most of my disagreements with you are based upon the fact i consider there is a lot of exageration about China and the idea the west is finished.

Like I said to you in the past I think we are heading towards a world government, thus my country or Brazil are simply pieces of the world government and so will be China or Russia.

I like it? no but that is the reality.

About cars at least in the Mexican Market such cars are not for sale and in the West Chinese cars do not have a clear advantage technically beyond lower price.
Happy new year dude.

It's nice to debate with u for yrs.

Most things i disagree with you, were mainly how the basic knowledge you lack of, sometimes i pointed out.

From my POV, you really don't know what's going on in the real world especially on new items.

The fact is, on land borders, China made treaties with all nations on border agreements.

For those agreements, sometimes China gained, sometimes China compromised.

The only two nations left, were India and Buthan, and Buthan has no diplomatic relation of China, because it's guided by India.

Next time, please try to find more accurate materials before debate.

Again, happy new year of 2024!

The FC-31 to J-35 saga is the greatest private venture in Chinese military history and is a great example of the economic viability of China's aerospace industry!

FC-31 was an unfunded prototype by Shenyang in 2014 when the PLAAF was fully committed to the J-20.

But by 2021 it was chosen for the PLANAF and as the basis for the J-35:

The J-35 is now the Navy's 5th Gen fighter and, as such, will be main fighter of the PLAN's carrier force.

It is the only successful 5th Gen project that started off unsanctioned -- unlike the J-20, KF-21/KXF or KAAN/TXF.

Very few aerospace industry outside the US can produce an unsanctioned 5th Gen project.

Before the FC-31, the Q-5 was a private development at Nanchang (now Hongdu.)

Nanchang/Hongdu mostly made China's trainers -- CJ-6, JL-8, L-15. But a group of enthusiasts tinkered with the base model of the fighter J-6 and created an attack aircraft that was not sanctioned by the PLAAF.

It was China's first fighter-bomber.

It was kept alive by a small group of enthusiasts from the 1960s to the 1970s through all kinds of political turmoil until it was finally funded and over a 1000 were built by the 1980s with the A-5 version being exported!

The local version can carry and lob a nuclear bomb!

Claiming islands is land border dispute. Claiming Taiwan is a land dispute. So, you do have border disputes with almost all neighbors.

Happy New Year!

This is the most important takeaway for the Chinese economy in 2023. It will impact China (and the world) for many years to come.

China is moving its investments from real estate to industry :)

And China is already the world's greatest manufacturing nation by far :D
