All countries in general have things, mine is not the exception, China and India are in my opinion destined to be both important economies simple because between you and the Chinese are at least 30% of humanity in terms of population.

Smart Chinese and Indians understand that instead of being enemies you should be allied since is the only way both of you can growth economically to become really big economies.

Globalization and outsourcing means technology spreads and the local oligarchies want a slide of the pie when a foreign company sets business in the local markets.

Putin envisions a world devided in zones of Influence.

China and india in Putin`s view are to have their zones of Influence.

Brazil wants to have south America for their own, same Russia wants all the former soviet states under Russian influence.

The main point will be for BRICS to be viable is the Russia-China relation and China-India relation, Ideally a strong alliance will ensure development for BRICS however there are so many points of disagreement and Globalization creates not fixed alliances, India for example is allied to USA-Australia-Japan at the same time is in BRICS and Brazil is an ally of USA too.
